  • eww. Thank you for the video. It's definitely useful. I HATE that type of countertop. Thank goodness for free polished 4x10 slabs of granite off craigslist.

  • I prefer using an iron with a little protection between it and the laminate.

  • Great video. Isnt it great to get help fine tuning your craft. I love it because it was clear and you made it look easy.

  • great video, although i think it might have been easier to install and cut the endcaps before installing the counter top in its final place.

  • I WOULD STRONGLY SUGGEST A LAMINATE TRIMMER INSTEAD OF A FULL SIZED ROUTER. MUCH EASIER TO CONTROL AND SINCE ITS SMALLER YOU CAN GET IN MORE PLACES WITH IT

  • You can also use an iron with a cloth between it and the laminate. Preferabley use contact rather than hotmelt, it is quicker, cleaner and a better end product.

  • NEXT TIME USE GLOBES AND GLASSES

  • @CINEDIGITAL good point cinedigital, ALWAYS wear glasses!

  • great tips!

  • Nice video work... a couple of things you should know. Put wax on the laminate where the router bearing will ride. Next time run the router in the opposite direction, you were going backward. Good job though.

  • @CabinetryExpert Also to note if he had done the job prior to fitting the sink and top permanently he could have pulled it forward and routered the whole thing in one easy go without the use of a horrible dremmel.

  • @pikeystudmuffin Hey, just wondering, why don't you like the dremmel? I've never had any problems.

    Thanks!

  • @LandlordingTV Its a bit DIY for me, we fit out Hospitals and hotels for the commercial sector and all of our kit get's a lot of usage, would tend to use a trimmer for a job like that. all the best Dave.

  • @CabinetryExpert That's an awesome tip about the wax! I'll be using that and giving you a shout out when we film end caps again!! Forgot to point out the direction with the router, excellent catch! When testing, this direction helped make a smoother cut. I don't know if its my router or what...

    Thanks again!
