i remember this all too well. just before they started, people were talking about how in every review they had read about daft punk claimed them to be completely life changing. everyone in the audience and daft punk were, simply and immaculately, aligned for the start of that show. so much energy you could feel yourself float
Ok, I've been tavellng the world for different concerts for the last ten years, and I never imagined prior to Daft Punk at Vegoose I'd still be talking about it to people almost 2 years later!! F'n rights, by far, Daft is the best live show I've ever seen!
I had no idea how f-ing amazing Daft punk would be live, but they killed it!! The energy in the crowd was overwhelming!! It was so good it made you feel high...

daft punk are human they look like robots because according to one of there interviews they had a problem in their studios and had to go through reconstructive surgery.
Clearly proof that Daft Punk is a cult of death robots bent on elimination of the human species! They draw us to their shows with their flashy lights and funky beats, but look at the display on the pyramid! They are scanning our average physiology to see how best to kill us! Listen to the music! Be warned, seeing Daft Punk perform may be your last worldly deed!
Red you are an idiot. Rage just isn't the same band since they came back, their 97 and 98 shows were WAY more intense and full of 'rage' and energy.
As for Daft Punk, I can't put into words just how awesome the pyramid sets are. Vegoose was my 2nd time, I caught them in NY at Coney Island first. 2nd time around was just as good as the first.
Everyone who was there knows, we are all a bunch of daft punk converts. I see people wearing the shirt and we have an instantaneous bond. Love it.
i still depress that i was so fuck up that i burnt my memory out and forgot almost the whole day at vegoose i broke out of a trance like state during da funk
i was at both, they both were unreal but i think the energy and anticipation at lolla made it a much more intense show. vegoose was crazy though don't get me wrong.
Daft Punk was AMAZING. And they put on a really great show. However, Rage just has this presence on stage that makes everyone go crazy. Being in the pits during Rage was definitely the highlight of the festival for me. Daft Punk's show will still be one of the highlights of my life though. :)
I was at both days of Vegoose, and I though Daft Punk put on a waaayyyyy better show than Rage. That's not to say Rage wasn't good, but I mean, they finished half an hour early, didn't even do an encore, and honestly, when you try and compare that to Daft Punks set at Vegoose, which was easily on the most memorable moments of my life, it just doesn't stack up.
After thinking about the entire Daft Punk set, it's easily the best musical set I've seen. The only comparable set would be seeing Mono 9/21 at the El Rey. Both absolutely amazing.
This was an amazing set!!! Such a wicked festival. Daft Punk's set was by far the best, even better than rage which is who I went to see in the first place. I'm going to be uploading some clips I took as well from both rage and muse.

You are fucking crazy. Better than Rage? I was there and there is no way in hell that techno can ever be better than real talent like actually playing an instrument. Those two fags have turn tables and sound boards all they do is play club music. Nothing more. How many drugs were you on?
dude, its not easy to make the type of music they do. Daft Punk put on a sick show as did Rage. they play diff music that appeal to diff crowds. they shouldnt even be compared. i was there and i thought they were both badass. i was more excited about Daft Punk though cuz i havent seen them before vegoose. i heard that was their last pyramid show...
last pyramid show in the U.S. probably forever. According to a podcast their manager did in australia not too long ago, it seems that the pyramid scheme will go away after this world tour :-(
It's all a matter of what you like or what you don't if you had a great time then good for you I did too I just hate Daft Punk I don't get it. Now, Iggy and Mastadon that was amazing.
i've been to a lot of shows and festivals, and daft punk at lollapalooza was BY FAR the best fucking show i've seen in my life. being in the energy and the togetherness of everyone dancing together, plus seeing that eye-melting lightshow and feeling the bass vibrate every cell in my body... fucking powerful.
it was the most inspiring thing i've ever been a part of.
I saw these guys at Coachella for their first U.S. show... and at Vegoose for their last. I'd have to say the last show was *better* in terms of lights and music, but the first one could never be forgotten because nobody had ever seen anything like it before.
*die* I was nowhere near that close (had originally intended to SIT through the whole thing to accomodate a back injury...good luck) but ...wow...I mean, just, wow.
If they put tickets up for sale in the US right now, I would go and buy them until my credit card was maxed out. Best show I've ever seen, hands down.
we flew in from new orleans pretty much for daft punk, and it was awesome.. If they wouldn't have put everyone in such a good mood there might have been a riot upon seeing the 10,000 people taxi line.
Thievery Corporation definitely blew my mind too...
The best show I've ever been too, when I'm 80 and I'm about to die and have my life flashes before my eyes, I'm just gonna see a pyramid with insane lights :)
For those who never notice, Daft Punk is know for putting messages in there songs. As in this one the message is Humans Die Together.
