i just found out that this dv2 has only one slot for a 4 gig sodimm ram which cost around $200 which defy the whole purpose of a ram upgrade....ur better of using the money to get the dv2z with duo core...i knew there was a catch!

this dv2 is now $450 after a $50 rebate with a dvd drive but their new dv2z is over $600 with the duo core...is the dv2 really is better? Im sure the single core can run better with more ram, windows 7 installed, and bloatware removal...right??

My geeky self has to comment on a few mistakes :D "AMD Neon" and "ADI Radeon graphics". I'm pretty sure i didn't mis-hear that :P It's the AMD Neo and ATI Radeon graphics :)

How did that get into the review? Surely important specs like that would have been read up on many times :P

And as others said wobbly camera is a little irritating :)

it also has hdmi dvi 3 usb modem ethernet express slot and a webcam

anyways its a great laptop and i use it for gameing,,its not the best for gaming,but i could run crisis on high!!!

i bought one today...there are some probs with this model..HP put only one slot on this machine (model 1020 ed). So if u think of putting xtra RAM later then u have to take out the one already installed and put a new one (which is worst case of engineering by HP till date.!).

Overall its quite OK. If anyone needs any info do reply

i had one recently and i returned it back to HP.. nothing to complain about but it just didnt match my expectations. I use much of graphics on a system and this system had only 2gigs of RAM installed. to make matters worse there was only 1 slot for RAM...so i simply had to return it. u say that u want it for playing games. what sort? if u think u can play the lastest games then dont look at this system. it cant handle even at lower settings

Anyway, although this is a pretty good netbook/notebook breed of a PC, I don't think this would exactly fit you based on your preferences. The AMD processor isn't too great for running games, and I suspect you will be pretty disappointed if you expect this machine to run newish game titles smoothly (maybe at the LOWEST settings).

I would look into the Dv3T in your case (that's actually the laptop I'm getting ;))

STOP WITH THE SHAKEY CAMERA!

If you want to do it the way professionals do it. You need a camera with a OPTICAL IMAGE STABLISER, then you can move the camera around a bit & get the effect you want. Moving it with digital stabaliser or no stabiliser is just annoying.

I totally enjoy your reviews. I don't agree however that a netbook lacks power to stream videos. Just about anything out there will more than handle anything a broadband connection can put through.
