  • Wonderful!!

  • * * * * *

  • hermosa canción , me rercuerda a mi adolesvencia en el perú, lo mejor de esta agrupación...

  • Amazing this album isn't considered more of a classic. I guess with all it's commercial success it gets pinned in with a lot of pop stuff from the 80's but it's one of the best things to have happened that decade.

  • pull out supertuner sh*t

  • Made me wanna save a stripper:)

  • Everytime the ghosts of lovers past visit, I play this and remember.

  • Love this song! Remember the days when this album was so popular, with Centerfold and Freezeframe.

  • brings back memories. I had this album on cassette. Played on my Pioneer portable stereo with auto-reverse and auto-replay feature. 1983

  • i love this song.very relaxin

  • I the video may have left out some content.

  • This song deserved to be as big a hit as "Centerfold" and "Freeze-Frame". For a J. Geils song, it's oddly sad and beautiful. A true classic.

  • And she never had dreams

    So they never came true

    The palest of angels

    Angel in blue

  • Oh yeah! Marilyn Monroe WAS an Angel in Blue.

  • This is such a good song, as well as a sad one too I love it. He's such a good singer

  • @carl22069 Frankly, I'm just glad they made one. It's my favorite J. Geils song.

  • never knew this had a video! and,if ya listen close, you'll hear Luther Vandross on background vocals.

  • I use to dance to this song back in 1986. Always felt they sang this song just for me. "all her friends did her favors that were really just loan's and she never had dreams so they never came true. " I always only wore boots. I was kickin that habit. I just love this song Thanks for the post

  • I don't mean pete. J. I stole his rocking sunglasses look. Great!

  • J rocks. Hero of mine all through the 80s

  • Comment removed

  • This song and video is awesome!....the 80's rocked! I stumbled across a band named Wreckhouse who do a nice job with this song...check it out!

  • received this album as a present in '82...a gift it was!

  • Thanks so much for this song, deadly Hostel dances, Queen of the dance floor...

  • SOMEONE TELL ME I NEED TO KNOW. WHAT IS THE SOFT PIANO SONG CALLED?!?!?!?!?! PLEASE TELL ME I CAN'T FIND IT!

  • i heard this song 4 the first time cuz my mom wanted me to burn her the freeze frame album and wtf is this stupid shit the i heard this song and im like :DDDDDDD

  • awsome

  • Great song, well put together.

  • I miss them, they used to play every X-mas and New Years Eve. One hell of a show to say the least~!

  • Women such as Mata Hari and Marilyn Monroe not only had dreams, but they came true. You have to really dislike someone to ignore who they are as a person, and believe only tabloids without verification. Mata Hari had been celebrated, but her tragedy was the way the tabloids could bring her down, and that the very thing the public wanted could became her undoing. This could never happen to Marilyn. She will never fade away.

  • Such a great tune. Reminds me of when radio actually played a variety of great music rather than pinned to a certain station of a genre where only the hits make the playlist as it is now. Thanks a ton for sharing.

  • Definetly the best song this band ever did. I love it! Thanks for sharing.

  • The J. Geils Band belongs in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!

  • I love J. Geils....the band and the MAN!!!

  • Perhaps the best song on the "Freeze-Frame" album!

  • I don't like how the opening was truncated.

  • @steve0281 Sorry...I had nothing to do with the way it was recorded...I just uploaded it.

  • @idlertire I know you didn't. It wasn't meant as a criticism of you. It was meant as a criticism of the producer of the video.

I didn't know they even made one. It was generally a pleasant surprise to discover that they did. It is my favourite J. Geils Band song.

  • @steve0281 thnaks bro awesome song

  • @steve0281 Demand your money back.

  • @seymoresaymore LOL! If only...

  • A masterpiece!

  • its too bad they dont play this on the radio,I LOVE THIS SONG, I remember when it came out, I also like Rage in the Cage off the Freeze Frame album, was the B side too Centerfold

  • got tixs to see them aug 21

  • Love it !

  • Peter Wolf has the most intoxicating voice I've ever heard

  • It's so sad this band disbanded because tensions were to a boiling point between Peter Wolf and Seth Justman. And, it happened as they were in the studio working on the album that was to follow Freeze Frame...... I can only imagine how great the next album would have been. What a waste..........

  • It took me forever to remember the name of this song and I was pleasantly surprised I found it on youtube......... JGB rocked the 80's. One of the few bands I would listen to in the 80's.......... Peter Wolf and company are absolutely genious.....

  • arnt we all worse then solomon, thank you all centerfoldsn spank you very much.

  • Melancholy rising Fading out of tune But striking a chord just the same To a heralded time Lost in pastel watercolored tears of time Painted in the ether A nowhere land That we visit in our minds To hold even closer What we held dear...now even more Never letting go...thanks to a friend
  • @sucharadder This is beautiful. Did you write this? If not, would you let me know who did.... If you did, I think you're brilliant...........

  • @zowach why thank you, always nice to get a kudo. With J Geils as the inspiration of course...a song like this is like a well preserved bottle of wine, enough said!

  • I love tihis song !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great JGB tune. Thanks a ton for bringing back the memories!

  • I love this song! one of my fav's by the j geils band

  • 初めて見た20年前に、この世界の仕組みを理解できた。

  • Man this guy could sing and dance...

  • As everyone else has commented. Thanks for posting. Song brings back a lot of great memories of those young carefree days.

  • @KimmyfromLawn Also, woundn't it be great if a band such as Pearl Jam did a remake on this.

  • @KimmyfromLawn You are just too cool....... Eddie Vedder would rock this song!

  • @KimmyfromLawn Also, woundn't it be great if a band such as Pearl Jam did a remake on this.

  • thank you... idertire...great song...his words chill my bones

  • Reminds of my Jr high dances back in the good old 80's!

  • ALWAYS PUTS A SMILE ON MY FACE

    Hostel - Inuvik

  • WOW, this was a great song , and ya from 1982. This song reminds me of the good fortune I had as I was able to get a few date's with this thin, short good looking busty blond who was living in my town for a brief time. Than she moved on to the big city. Glad to have had met you Deb!

  • My favorite by these guys, so beautiful! Summer of '82 rocked some great tunes.

  • brilliant one of the best of the era!

  • Thanks for this song, idlertire, you are a genius!! One of my favorite jgb songs....hard to choose one, though. Is it me or does that sax look rather tiny to the sax player in all their videos? lol!

  • I forgot I had this video and ran up on it one day.I noticed the video was not on Youtube anywhere....so here it is....You're welcome...that goes for all of you that posted.

  • @idlertire NO, thank you........ I've been looking for this one for a LONG time.... I only remembered the name of the song last night.....

  • @idlertire Thank you,, I love this song

  • @LenMan619 I thought the samething.... We could google it?

  • @LenMan619 , cheers for bringing back some memories. J Geils were the first band I ever saw live.

Never really noticed how sad a song it was back then. ''She never had dreams, so they never came true''. Guess we've all come across a few angels in blue in the intervening years.

  • Love this song. One of my all time favorites.

  • I raised my first born by singing her to sleep with this song. Very good memories....in the 80's and 20 plus years later. thanks

  • thanks for this song, good memories

  • Memories of NW New Brunswick: Western Maine. Listening to 'then' superb FM station: WDHP 96.9.

They played all this cool stuff.

Northern Maine's WDHP broadcasted into Quebec as well; I remember them receiving phone calls from there; as well as northwestern New Brunswick, Canada.

Memories!! THIS was one of them.

  • it's not so often that I come across bands like this nowadays... one has to try hard looking for bands that play songs similar to the "angel in blue." Listening to it, one finds how undying this kind of repertoire is.

  • recuerdos imborrables de mi niñes que cuando lo escuho me trae nostalgia yimmy peru

  • excelente por mi madresita de mi epoca car...... que viva la epoca de los 80 que no volveran lo tendre hasta la muerte yimmy

  • This brings back so many fond memories of my youth when life was simple and carefree. I miss those days so much. Thank you so much!

  • So f*ckin GREAT! Man I miss those days

  • great band
