Man, after reading about Danny Whitten you gotta really feel for Neil. I mean life finally shows sum promise, hes just breaking threw into the music world and then he loses 1 of his buddies like Danny, thats just not right. If I could give any advice after living only 23 years, it would be "stay away from pills, leave that pharmy shit be!!!! I do damn near anything but if I ever found my little bro with pills n shit, I'd prob pull a unloaded gun on him just to show him how serious I am!!

Heroin is a TRICK. It's false love, it's fale happiness. It will trick your brain to thinking it is good for you, but it is really a fuckin trick to get you to set aside your standards and morals in order to get the drug and put it in your veins or nose or whatever. The shit is just plain fuckin lame. I'm 24 and glad I caught my habit before it got too far out of hand. TRust me, you will never make a worse decision that trying heroin. I wish I would have listened to other people's warnings !!!!

Believe me, whatever emotional pain you are experiencing now, heroin won't make it any better, and if it enslaves you, you have multplied the hurt a million times.

@jonterhaar Given the whole song's about scoring drugs that seems a little unlikely... and also it made it onto Crazy Horse's own version of it. It might be like Cortez the Killer's solo on Live Rust and it seemed the easiest thing to edit out to get the length of the album onto the disc. Who knows.
