i compared this one to previous versions, not as if i got a new cpu or watever, norton slows your comp down if you have a bad HDD, not enough ram and a low clocked cpu, and by todays standards everyone has 4gb ram and at least a 3ghz dual core

Ive been without a virus program for one year exactly right now. The only protection I have is Firefox, and my comp boots as fast as it did the first time i installed windows (vista 64bit). (Also 3 years without a virus program on my older comp, no slow downs.

The people I know who have slow, laggy computers full of shit always have virus programs like norton, mcafee, avg etc. Kinda funny, and ironic...

Use online email (gmail?), having your mail directly into your comp is a security breach.

just because your computer is still fast does not mean it is safe, protected, or infected. i have a brand new computer, with firefox and it was infected within the first week

yes i totally agree insane those anti-virus prog do slow ur comp down i dont use no anti -virus prograb either and my computer runs just fine just stay away from porn guys and u wont need anti-virus.:)))

this goes for every idiot how there how loves to hate on norton because of previous versions, norton used to use so much resources and had a very bad detect rate, however this new norton uses only 5% of my q9650 @ 3.8ghz when scanning, they really improved the new version and you wouldn't believe it, so stop hating and just try it out, at first norton is slow, but after a good defrag you wouldnt even notice it on your system. my boot times have gone from 30 seconds to 33 seconds with norton

Norton seems pretty damn good, id still like to see Windows Defender vs Norton 05 or something. id bet WD would win too which is sad as all hell.

norton might have given you money for the review cause from what i saw from this review and from avast review they are kind of same. you got to use avast with comodo firewall and you will be safe for free

every virus protection gots thier own different virus file. thats why it needs be update. some virus protection catch viruses but some other virus protection dont at the same time. b/c of this is that these virus protection didnt have this kind of virus file. So i recomend it doesnt matter to buy a norton or avril or wahtever anyways.
