I respect your opinion, but in my point of view, this is the Experience´s most laid back album, where it tells stories, meanwhile Are You Experienced is very aggressive and rebellious and Electric Lady Land is epic. Still, this is a great album and this is my 2nd favorite of the Experience´s albums.

@MrJimihendrix34 Just because I said this album is a bit rushed (because they were pressured to put out an album, because of the success of the first record) doesn't mean I don't like it...a 3.8 is a pretty good score. I love Spanish Castle Magic, and Castles Made of Sand is one of my favorite Experience songs. And once again, music is SUBJECTIVE just because I think Hendrix could do much better, doesn't mean it's the truth. All these reviews are my OPINION.

how the hell do you get 3.8 out of 5?? this album wasnt rushed, you dont rush masterpeices like spanish castle magic, little wing or bold as love, you hae no idea what your talking about

I wish I knew who I gave that midnight lightning LP to. I'd love to try and get it back, especially after discovering an original "naked" album in a lot that was given to me.

I used to have an LP of Jimi called "Midnight Lightning". There is also an album out that is called "Woke up this morning and found myself dead" that features a very intoxicated Jim Morrison on some of the tracks, shouting/singing "fuck her in the ass!" among other madness. Always a fan of brilliance, especially instrumental brilliance.

The DVD is a mini documentary, it goes through 4 or 5 songs with Eddie Kramer explaining how the songs came about

great review, Bold as Love is my fav song, looking forward to a J Buckley review in the near future, i just brought jeff buckley live at l'olympia last week, went straight to my top 10 live albums, the song "dream brother" blew me away, keep these reviews coming, your killing it laterly, really good stuff
