  • OMIGOSH!! Tom and Michael Horncastle are like... 8-9 yrs old here!!! I SOOO LOVE THIS! Mikey was such a cutie and Tom is cute as a button i just wanna pinch their cheeks!!! Although, I agree about the comments with the background drums. I guess its because I was more accustomed hearing the other version with Tom doing the solo. But Ben Crawley will always be beautiful of course.

  • sanctus was copied from canon in the 1800s.... parts of it was anyway

  • i thought the boy in 0.54 was justin bieber..haha they're look alikes...

  • I personal think this a very beatiful rendition of pachelbel canon in D with the talents of these you boys singing this it uplifts my heart and soul each time I listen to this.

  • its the backing track which is cannon and d

  • 1:43 omg cuteness lol

  • This version of this song is what made me choose it for my wedding. Thank you very much.

  • Please, may I suggest you to listen to this Avaricum - Sanctus; I can give the score if you want it.

  • Boy band?

  • absolutely amazingg. My highschool band does this song as a warm up, but ehh. err...this sounds wayyy better ;)

  • we sang a song called sanctus at school but it sounds wayyyyyyyy different

  • @4eyesrule A "Sanctus" is not a "song": it is a portion of the Roman Catholic (and German and Anglican) mass set to music. The mass has a whole bunch of different sections - Kyrie, Christe Eleison, Credo, Santus, Agnus Dei and some others. Each setting of the mass will have a Sanctus portion and each one is different. So, there are thousands and thousands of different Santus settings from different masses - and sometimes someone writes a "stand alone" Sanctus apart from the rest of the mass.

  • If I'm correct the title of the song is Sanctus and Robert Prizemans rearranged Pachelbel's Cannon in D. You can hear the melody from Cannon at 2:29.

  • Love it so much...

  • They have angel voices everytime I here them my eyes just go to tears God Bless you

  • @MalibuSunrise1 lol MICHEAL JACKSON!!!!!!

  • Great!

  • fantastic! i sang this with my high school choir, brings back lovely memories

  • heavenly......... i envy tis choir lots! their voices r like a miracle n e high pitch, i cant even reach it wen im in sop 1... oooooh! LOVE U GUYS LOTS!!

  • hahah, the drums. it kind of ruined it much better with simple strings.

  • @CrazyLinns totally agree...

  • Change that, this definitely isnt Pachelbel Cannon!

  • @MalibuSunrise1 creeper

  • @L1k3WTF01 What's even scarier is that comment has 4 thumbs up. Everybody is on that one.

  • lovely... where can l get the score?

  • hahahah ur all great!

  • there very great,,,,,

  • They were here in the Philipinnes a while ago in a well-known program, Showtime, and I heard them singing Filipino Songs, and sounds angellic. God Bless the Group! And all of us here!

  • @cinemazuka weeeh? ndi ko mapanood! wait check ko sa tfc!

  • @gjvallangca uu nga...

  • astiggg!!!niceone!

  • this is really really beautiful

  • Wow they are all so young here. And I can see the change to their recent "Sanctus". Its amazing esp. Tom and Michael who are very much as tall as the bigger boys in this video now. :))) I love it

  • i finally found this!!!!!!love it love it!!!!!!sooOOOoOOooo much,,,,...

  • @aichikerz I was looking for this too!!!

  • Yeah, my bad for saying "every boy." Wasn't thinking straight.

Little quote from my teacher back in school, "All men still have their soprano range from when they were children, it is called falsetto."

I might have taken this with a wrong approach.

  • @lancelotvalnard

These kids are typically brought up since they were like... 4 and then tossed away when they hit around 13~14. Sometimes these kids don't grow their Adam's apple until their like 15. It all depends on their growth. These kids look 11 to me. I'm not sure though. Heh.

  • how do there voices stay so high ? , there good though, rock on boys !!!?

  • Michael and Tom are still so small in this video :D esp. Tom, standing next to "Big Ben" :D

  • peeje you are confusing two pieces of music. This is NOT Johann Pachebel's Caonon in D major. This is the Sanctus, part of a Catholic mass if I am not mistaken.

  • @goblinonacloud sanctus is a version or a variation on pachebels canon. so people often confuse them.

  • @goblinonacloud Actually you are correct and wrong. This a loose arrangement of Pachelbel's Canon, with much original material woven through and around it. However, the words are Sanctus related, but I don't think the exact latin text of the Sanctus of the Catholic Mass. So you're sort of right. There's no doubt, though, that the boys have a gorgeously beautiful sound!

  • @goblinonacloud Sanctus is a variation on Pachebel's Canon in D.

  • @detaono EXACTLY!

Please stop arguing, I can hear Cannon in D as WELL as Sanctus

  • @goblinonacloud music by Pachelbel, lyrics by the Catholic Church

  • @goblinonacloud A "Sanctus" is simply a setting of that portion of the mass ... so there are thousands and thousands of Sanctus settings - all of them called "Sanctus", but most of them come with an attribution of which mass setting they came from. This particular setting uses Pachelbel's "Cannon" as its melodic and harmonic inspiration - it is in essence a Sanctus set to the music of this piece: quite nicely i might add :--).

  • @goblinonacloud Not actually, the song is in fact Pachelbel Canon in D, but it's the edition with words, and so Sanctus was born :D

  • They sing great! but what is going 2 happen to their voicesn through their period?

  • Guys don't have periods, its puberty. But actually I think that if they have voice training they'll be very good still!

  • Yeah, I wish I could have them sing at my wedding too!!! lol

  • like u much guys

  • that is really high for a dude

    how old are they

  • It's Canon with words. It is the best version with words, but still...I don't think this is the best version of Sanctus out there by Libera. But they are still great.

  • Okay, as a music person, this really bugs me. Sanctus and Canon are two different songs!! This is sanctus. NOT Canon.

Otherwise, this is a good song. I'm not a big fan of the drum beat in the background, but whatever.

  • @tonynoyes Don't be misled by the title of the song. The lyrics is Sanctus and the tune is Canon but always bear in mind that both are not LITURGICAL. They are not part of the Mass either in Protestant or Catholic churches.

  • @tonynoyes dude shut up these boys did a great job if you dont like it then go fuck your self

  • @tonynoyes I agree, the drumbeat makes it sound like something Enya would do. Not that their is anything wrong with Enya, but this song sounds so much better without the drum beat,

  • Great! I'VE CREATED THE ORIGINAL SCORE!!! For four voices choirs!

  • It L-I-B-R-E-A not L-E-EB-E-r-e-r

  • fox4boys: and they learned to do something beautiful rather than kill each other on that island! lol

  • LOVE IT ! They have só beautiful and góod voices!

  • This is amazing!!

  • Wow they're really good, kinda really like it.

this song just touches my heart! :D

  • io sono sconvolto....è possibile che un coro di voci bianche arriva a cantare un do dei bisacuti??....scusate ma possono cantare quelle note??

  • I LOVE THEIR VOICES SO MUCH!!!

  • This beautiful piece is part of the Sanctus part of the Latin Mass:

Sanctus, Sanctus, Sanctus Dominus Deus Sabaoth.

(Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God of hosts.)

Pleni sunt coeli et terra gloria tua, Hosanna in excelsis.

(Heaven and earth are full of Thy glory.) (Hosanna to God in the highest,)

Benedictus qui venit in nomine Domini, Hosanna in excelsis.

(Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.) (Hosanna to God in the highest.)

  • Sanctus, sanctus, sanctus Dominus Deus Sabaoth, Pleni sunt caeli et terra gloria tua, Hosanna in excelsis, Benedictus qui venit in nomine Domini. Hosanna in excelsis.

From the Roman Missal of the Latin Rite of the Catholic Mass.

  • In what language are they singing?

    Anybody hear consonants?

  • its latin

  • Producer, arranger, composer, conductor. I bet Robert Prizeman is really rich.

    What about the boys?

And what becomes of old choristers?

  • Excellent

  • wow, this is amazing! they are amazing....

  • They are singing beautifull, but I like this piece of music more when it is sung in the classical way

  • ^^^ *** Now added as a video response *** ^^^

  • It's the lyrics to the sanctus of a requiem. The lyrics are sacred latin text. Just look up the mozart or faure requiems and look at the sanctus movement lyrics. They're about the same.

  • my chorus had sing for our states

  • strange but good

  • This is beautiful.

  • Beautiful indeed, but no credit to the genius who created the music: Johann Pachelbel.

  • cool to see michael and tom when they were so little!

  • Tom is soooooooo cute!!!

  • i wish my choir group could be this good.i'm like, gonna cry any moment coz my school choir sucks badly.='(.

  • wow wish i could sing like that :D

  • no.1 : They did lots of vocal training

no.2 : The highest are done by the youngest, Because little children have little squiky voices.

no.3 : They practice Contralto, A female singing vocal. The range lies between the F below middle C (F3) to two Fs above middle C (F5). In the lower and upper extremes, some contralto voices can sing from the E below middle C (E3) to two B♭s above middle C (B♭5)

  • ;-; so pretty.... how do they go so high????

  • totally wonderful - on par with Hailey Westenra - angelic

  • oh i love hailey westenra's voice.

  • This is so pretty and a sothing song. Their voices are amazing.

  • i thought tht song is called canon. Is sanctus the vocal name for it.

  • This song, Sanctus, is based on Pachebel's Canon in D, but Robert Prizeman wrote this arrangement and named it Sanctus!

  • The leter of this song comes from The Liturgy of the Mass in the Catholic Church. Exactly before the Eucharistic Prayer: "Sanctus, Santus, Santus Dominus Deus Sabaoth, Pleni Sunt Coelli et terra Gloria Tua, Hossana in excelsis. Benedictus qui venit in Nomine Domini. Hossana in excelsis". It has benn

  • i have this song ....i can send it on icq!!

  • Do you have the sheet music?

  • is there an same adult version of this song? someone post link plz

  • i can't believe that a better boy choir than Vienna boy's choir exists...Truly unbelievable!

  • Had someone told you, you wouldn't have believed it. This video must be at least 5 years old. Tom & Michael looked like they were 8 or 9, and Ben Crawley was still singing. If you enjoyed this, check out the newer boys and arrangements.

  • I believe Sanctus is a composition based on themes from Pachelbel's Cannon in D.

  • great arrangement =)

Heavenly maiden voices, like the angels would sing. This is how they sing in paradise..

    awesome

  • :S:S nose como tendran que tener la voz estos chavales cuando sean mayores :S:S:S i dont know how this guys are going to have their voices when they're older :S:S

  • God has blessed all who enjoy listening to 'Libera.' Thank you for posting this.

  • Listen to 3:30 and tell me thats not a part in Cannon D so whoever saying it isn't must be wrong.

  • The main theme of this composition are Pachelbels Canon in D ;)

  • Yes ! it's based on Pachelbel's Canon (classic music)

  • Wow a mix of my fave songs i sing =] these guys are great bless them xx

  • Wow they can go soo high. i envy them. i agree they are like angels

  • The text comment is totally wrong. This isn't Pachelbel's Canon in d minor at all!

  • i know rite! sadness. this is pretty and all and their voices and ranges are AMAZING but it's def not pachbell

  • It is an arrangement of Pachelbel's Canon. You can't hear the similarities? I've never heard anyone say that it didn't sound like a version of Canon before, usually that's the first thing they mention...

  • The tune is based off of Pachelbels Cannon in D. But its sung in Latin.

  • this song is the music of gods

  • they are angels indeed

  • Wow i think they are angels.

  • the boy in 1:44 looks really cute

  • It's just Magnífico.
