Yes, the foot rests are great. Unfortunately they broke off after a month, but that's because I welded them too cold. My mistake, but I am just learning to weld. I'll reweld them in a few days. The horns are a must have, I use them all the time outside the city. It's best to buy the ones that fasten inside the steering tube, so you don't loose grip space.
I really like what you did with the foot rests, my air rower in house has the canting foot rests more inline with the body. I wish I could do the same for my rowbike as you did there, looks like a great improvement. I have the Red/Blue model with the Davecam. Have you found the grip/horns to help any? I thought of adding them to mine.
@ApertureWolf I have a 720 sport too and if you think about it, mountain bike horns are dead weight. If you make a habit of changing your hand position too much on a Rowbike you'll wobble into traffic and get squished pretty fast. It's heavy enough without more gimmicks.
@ryanhoyt931 I changed the shock cord to a 5mm one with hardly any tension on it. I don't need it because the Dave cam is gone and the derailleur as well. This prevents the problems you may have. I can even take a hand from the steering bar and still keep the bike in a straigt line. I've built a second Rowbike and will upload a video soon that shows more details.
