@deozfam for those who are wondering about the John 3:30 verse.. John was explaining that he came first, then Jesus...just as pretold. The less of me and more of him verse is before Jesus died on the cross and hence before the resurrection. So, John was speaking before he gained the abundant life of Christ that can only be gained after the cross. The point is we exchanged our old life for the new life of Christ, so we are new with Him as mentioned in Gal. 2:20.

Was it not because He was stepping aside in order that Christ would be glorified, and so that he would set an example for us to do the same in our lives? All scripture is God-breathed...
not only the parts that take place after the resurrection. He gave it all to us, for us, to point to HIM.
I am a fan of anything that points to HIM!:) May God be glorified in our lives!

...There was not enough caffeine in Missouri to keep me awake through those meetings and i went home not disappointed but w a very peaceful respect for the way God sees me though different than all those who were jumping up and down being slain in the spirit, speaking in tongue etc. I'm just a different kid that he loves & made me the way i am.
(laughing) i love you John. i went to a ihop convention for deep spiritual enlightenment with a girlfriend who says things like that "more of Jesus, less of me"... she praised and sang for 5 hours straight each day and i kept falling asleep and going for walks and found Dad (God) outside among the trees and flowers.
@CAPPenterprises. Where did Paul say that? I see in John 3:30 that John said it. Also, this was said before Jesus died on the cross. That makes all the diference in the world. Jesus died and was resurrected that gave us the abundant life as noted in John 10:10.
