  • The quickman dance amused me way more than it should...

  • If you use metal man's blades against the final wily boss on this stage you can win the fight using 2 or 3 energy tanks. I did this because I was out of Crash Bombs.

  • I'm Quick Man. I'm a spaz. Lalala...

OH NO!!! I CAUGHT THE QUICK MAN VIRUS!!!

  • Its possible if he doesnt do that dang 2 or 3 shots in a row, For me, its basically if you get lucky enough to where he doesnt do that.

  • I think with a good enough mashing finger and a whole lotta luck(where he fires only 1 shot) you can beat Wily Machine 2 form 2

  • 8:03 Damn hitboxes....

  • 4:20 Another way to deal with Metal Man:

Always run to him, so he jumps to the other side and throws a Metal Blade you can easily dodge, and so on...

    Greetings from Germany!

  • I actually have an alternate strategy for the Metal Man rematch. I just keep walking toward him, shooting, and turning around. All you have to do is go back and forth and time your shots, and he's ridiculously easy. The conveyor belt makes this a lot harder to pull off in his stage, though.

  • When I was a kid, I had the TIger MM2 hand held game way before I ever played the actual MM2, and that game actually modeled Metalman's weapon as a gear; flat teeth and all. Apparently the folks at Tiger felt as you did.

  • hey roahm how do you know wich robot master is through wich capsule?

  • 1:21 I think I saw a bit of an AI pattern... He wants to run up to you and hug you (possible with a Quick Boomerang in hand) but has to take a set number of steps before he jumps back to repeat. On the flat terrain, it becomes easier to lead him into the corner and fire away while he runs into the wall, literally! Still... how would that work in his normal area?

@RoahmMythril Can you say Revenge? (possibly)

  • How much easier is Quick Man without his boss stages hills?

  • You'll hate me for this, but can we consider this a perfect run if you had to take damage and die off camera to refill your Crash Bombs?

  • By the same token as the fact that the other Wily stages did involve outtakes as well, yes.

  • Put it this way, I'm certainly not going through this again o.o;

  • @RoahmMythril Fair enough, I guess. After all, had you managed to save one of the Crash Bombs when fighting the Buebeam trap, you would have been able to do it, and you didn't take damage while doing it, which is a huge feat in itself.

  • The first time I pulled off the single Crash Bomb trick, I was so proud of myself.

I could never do it again after that.

  • My be metal man was doing the moon walk

  • The Quick Man thing was REVENGE!!!!!!!!!

  • Has anyone to this date ever completed your challenge?

  • Not that I know of right off.

  • @RoahmMythril Also my navy friend enjoyed your Revenge LP. Although it was your LP he watched he enjoyed every bit of it.

  • @RoahmMythril Roahm i have a video response of me doing your challenge

  • What about using item 1 on the second willy machine? Just have to be really good at going from platform to platform when you reach the ceiling and fall down

  • metal man:.........

    bubble man:why didnt you shot

heat man:i ment to do that

    wood man:ugh stupid dodge manuver

air man:how did he get behind me

crash man:i tried to make that first shot stick to him

    flash man:uuuuhhh

quick man:i ment to do that run to the wall thing

    megaman:yea

roahmmythril:i dont care quickman i still hate you

  • Lmao no wonder they made you use all your CB so you cant use it for wiley :D

  • I thought Metal Man was a dentist.

    They both are scary.

  • Wily Machine 2, second form... yeah. Those energy balls seem to have quite the severe case of Hit Detection Fail. And with the way that he has a habit of bunching them up... I don't think a no-damage buster only fight is possible.

I myself am of the belief that a no-damage run in general is one of the highest achievements possible, and the fortress stages are not making it easy. In this case, the 4th and 5th in particular. So very much can go horribly wrong on those two...

  • I thought that Quickman was the hardest in the group, yet he kept running into the wall, what an quick and painless run with him.

Crashman likes to have air time, eh Roahm?

It looks like in the Wily Second Fight that though you were hitting him you weren't damaging him. Bad, bad, Wily

  • 10:00

Yeah, without a turbo controller that would be impossible. I estimate you have to deal out the 28 shots within 3 jumps if you're lucky, 4 if you're Godly lucky, and I seriously doubt human fingers can mash that fast. Even with a turbo controller it would be more luck than skill, so it barely makes a difference

  • I can beat Wily 2 Buster only on the Anniversary Collection. Havent tried the original tho. XD

  • I don't think it's possible to dodge all of those shots not only because of the hitboxes, but also the calibration. Unless the problem was fixed in the gamecube/virtual console versions, you can leave this one alone.

  • O_o yor wife got hoter (nose bleeds)

  • Er.... what? I said my life just got a lot harder ^_^;;

  • @RoahmMythril If you can use the Quick Man pattern you accidentaly used in the original stage, would his difficulty rating go down?

  • Probably quite a bit. However, I've tried it and can't get it to work.

  • @RoahmMythril well srry it took so long to reply well your voice was very very low

  • This is me favorite part in the game, I love boss rushes. : )

  • Comment removed

  • Quickman's breakdown seems to be a result of his AI script not being designed for flat terrain so when he lands, he's in a position to repeat and thus does. And thank gods for that; having to deal with the real deal again in Skull Castle would just be EWWW.

  • what??? how is it possible that you used the crash bomber on wily machine 2??? you used them all in the stage before for the boss!

  • I said how that happened in the video info ;) I ended up having to get a game over during this stage in order to refill the Crash Bomber. However, it is actually possible to save one Crash Bomb while fighting the Buebeam Trap.

  • @RoahmMythril

oh sorry that I didn't read it in the description, I usually do, I think sometime I did, but I forgot and now it came to my mind again.

It is possible, I know, but not without dying.

  • Actually, it is possible. There's one particular shot you can make, though quite precise and tricky, that destroys both a mandatory wall AND one unit of the trap with one shot, thus saving one bomb.

  • 1:15 - 1:21

    Time for a Revenge vid?

  • Ah, if only. I can't seem to get him to replicate that in his own lair, the uneven terrain seems to stop that.

  • 7:00 what is the song & where can it be downloaded

  • All the music I use is creditted in the video info ;) That song can be found on Overclocked Remix.

  • I never thought the crash bomb trick was that hard.

I tried it, and I got it on my first try.

Can never be too careful with Wily.

  • I'd have broken down and used weapons here; I'm not that hardcore. I'd just tell haters to F*** off; it's less pain :P

Also, I appreciate you willing to subject yourself to such pain for our entertainment ^_^

  • Damn i was amused by the quickman fight! Hahaha i wish i had done that too XDD

  • 4:22 Work those legs, Metal Man!

This video suffered noticeably... How annoying this stage was being for you obviously took a lot out of you, taking a fair bit of life out of the commentary. Still were amusing bits like this, though~

  • Indeed, this one was highly draining, especially due to Wily's cheap hitboxes X)

  • Awesome!

  • I love these vids, and you got these witty comments.. mega man and witty comments=the perfect combo! and you're awesome at this game as well.. how many years have you been playing for?

  • Well, I've been playing Mega Man since the very first one came out here in the US, and I've been playing video games in general even longer than that. I date back to the ColecoVision and the Atari 2600.

  • Too bad you didn't have time to show all the weaknesses of the Robot Masters.

  • Roahm, I have a challenge for you. Do a perfect run on Rockman 2 Neta! Muahahahaa!!! ...*erhem* Yeah, I know it's impossible. Especially 8 Quickmans at the same time. Or 8 Airmans.

  • Yeow, yeah, definitely not happening, that o.o;

  • you my friend are a megaman god

  • 7:33

man metal man cant handle his own weapon?

    ya that is sad

  • @Bowserslave maybe because he is so used to his own weapon that he doesn't think about guarding himself from his own weapon.

  • i just noticed this heat man has toad man sydrome

  • You had no crash bombs after the bue beam trap. how did you get them back to do the one crash bomb trick.

Only way I ever beat Wily 2 no damage was going crazy quick with metal blade. I'll have to give it a shot with the buster some time to see if it is remotly possible. I'll probably need lots of luck.

And thanks for showing me that crash bomb trick. I actually had never seen it before. I've always been just speeding in crazy metal blades there

  • I had to go ahead and accept a game over to get it refilled. I mentioned it in my video description.

  • Oh ok I guess I didn't hear that game over part. To get it refilled. By the way does this crash bomb trick also work in the genesis wily wars version?

  • Ok yay I tested it out. Crash bomb trick does work in the wily wars game too. Bubble Man, Flash man, Wood Man all getting full health from their weapons being used against them also happens in the genesis game. Metal man still dies fast to metal blades too.

I tried perfect running wily in both nes and genesis version. It was futile in nes version while I was pretty damn close in gensis version. I imagine with a couple more tries it may actually be possible to do it in genesis only

  • CRASHMAN! I love crashman. He is my computers backdrop.

  • In the Genesis version, it's almost impossible to prevent HeatMan from throwing fireballs.

  • how hard is it in the genesis version? cuz i'll try it myself if i can get stuff to film it given i get past cut man imma try again today been playing warriors orochi 2 lately and yes Lu Bu is still a pain in mah butt XD!! as always but this vampire is insane enough to give it a try when he gets there to see how doctor wily is for himself in stead of watching other people's failure lol no offense intended Roahm cuz you've helped quite alot and i've loved the outtakes! and the success as well

  • To tell you the truth, I'm not really sure. When I was playing Wily Wars, I used weaknesses and didn't care about damage while going through the three games to unlock Wily Tower, as that was the only part of the game I really cared about.

  • wow that's different O_O can say i was really expecting that

  • at least that kind of answer XD!! wow nice one man

  • Well, it's honest at any rate X) All I really wanted to show from Wily Wars was Wily Tower, and as such, I just whipped through the rest of it off camera and as quick as possible to unlock it.

  • By the way, have you ever tried Rockman no Contancy?

  • I've heard of it, but I've never played it. Both Kittah4 and PinkKittyRose have recorded runs of it though.

  • You got lucky when fighting Quickman didn't you?

  • Yes, yes I did.

  • Holy explicit language! Your best feat ever, good sir, this was pure Win and utter Awesome!

Also, thanks for that Crash Bomb trick, didn't know about that :P

    *Tips hat*

  • Aye, the Crash Bomb trick seems to be about the only reliable way to just get through it without getting hit due to those blasted cheating hitboxes.

  • *standing ovation*

This easily beats out all of your previous runs to date. The Wily Machine alone would've been impresive in itself, but all 8 robot masters on top of that? Crap...

I just recently stumbled on that single Crash Bomb trick in a rom hack I was working on a video for (before seeing this video), and I wondered if it worked in the original game. It seems I have my answer. It would be difficult to come across, since you're likely to have no Crash Bombs upon entering the level.

  • Aye, I wish his hitboxes were a bit more reasonable, but that's the only way I've found to beat him without taking damage. It IS possible to conserve one Crash Bomb when fighting Buebeam Trap, so technically, it is possible to do this without continuing as I had to.

  • what do you think the thing that bubble man shoots (besides the bubbles -_-) is?

  • The best I can guess is just a basic, bog standard "buster" type shot. I can only guess the different look is supposed to signify bubble trails behind it or something? I'm really not sure, but that's my best guess on that.

  • They always looked like spears to me.

  • I wonder... When Wily;s first form is removed, and as he's flinging the debris at you, if it's possible to go behind him and shoot him from the back, albeit, you may take damage running under the cannon (it's too low to run under)? I know that was no help. XD *stops replying to this vid* XDXDXD

  • Been there, tried that. Indeed, you get smacked by the Wily Machine itself, it's too low to run under. And when you get back there, a) you can't reach his weak spot, and b) he just fires the bouncing shots backwards towards you.

  • I'm pleasantly surprised to find out that you're a fan of OCRemix, RoahmMythril.

  • Indeed, I quite like OCRemix, I've been a fan of that site for quite awhile now.

  • heared Cutman's Sonata OCRemix?

  • Indeed yes, I think I've heard all the MM remixes currently up.

  • you have tough about making an special video of putin an analisis on the megaman music? or wathever like that?

  • Hmm... I'm not sure if I'd bother with that, if a music really appeals to me, I usually bring it up in the video itself.

  • I was able to expose this game's major flaw. And I did it on Woodman's stage.

  • What's that then?

  • I'm gonna send you a PM so that this won't get too far off-topic.

  • You did well... Very well, so I can't really criticize... But I can try! XDXD The Crash Bombs had been exhausted by the Trap Room, so I know you had to Game Over to restore them. Frankly, I'd rather seen you take the damage/beat Wily 2 with that which remained of your Atomic Fire.

Good game, nonetheless. You're a better MegaMan than I am.

  • Eh, taking no damage looks better to me, and Wily really ticked me off, what with the undodgeable shots.

  • Were the outtakes in this video all part of your actual run? I can't imagine the frustration of getting through all 8 masters that many times only to have the run end so easily. I'm hoping you figured out the crash bomb technique in practice.

  • Aside from the Metal Man vs. Metal Blade display, yes, those were all results of actual runs. Since I started with the two toughest Robot Masters on each attempt, by the time I'd get to Wily each time, I'd feel less frustrated by losing... until I realized those blasted shots had wonky hitboxes that couldn't really be dodged. The Crash Bomber trick, I did indeed figure out in practice, that took awhile, but thankfully proved quite effective.

  • wow... I can't believe you did it, its incredible!

  • This took awhile to manage, but leading with Air Man and then Quick Man each time made it more bearable. The other six Robot Masters weren't so bad by comparison, so I didn't have to worry as much about a good run ending from a cheap shot later on. Thanks for the compliment ;)

  • Getting hit is so unstylish, so behold Roahm, dragon of style. Super rock rock(man) on, Roahm, this is just unreal!

  • Thank you, this one was trying, but it's fun to go back and watch it.
