I have looked through your videos but I have not seen anything pertaining to boosting water pressure to a 2nd or 3rd floor bathroom. Could you please post one if you have not already? Maybe I am not seeing it though
@pashastookie Well thats easy for someone who is a master plumber, but for a weekend warrior, do you think that is a feasible project with very basic plumbing skills?
Go to a mechanical engineer who does plumbing design. Ask him if you can fix the pressure problem by upsizing your supply pipe and maybe your water meter. Tell him you'll take the field measurements needed for him to run the numbers. He'll probably charge you $150 - $250 for his time. If he says upsizing the pipe & meter won't do the trick, his fee will be a total loss. If upsizing will solve the problem, you save yourself the headache of having a pump forever.
@SuperMichaelblake Thanks. But in going to your channel, it appears that you have no visible presence and you very possibly are a shill for them. If you had many plumbing videos at your channel showing us what you're talking about and proving that you are a plumber of some type, perhaps I'd allow your comment on other videos of mine. But you're invisible. No one knows who you are and why you'd be trying to promote this product. It doesn't pass the smell test.
I want to hook up a Mobile home to a power supply what do I need . It about 75ft from the power pole .THE POWER CO. HAS PUT THE WIRE IN THE GROUND NOW i HAVE TO GO FROM THERE TO THE HOME WHAT WILL i NEED TO DO THIS
@dave611466 Easy. An electrician that knows what he's doing. If you have to ASK what to do in this situation, technically you're not qualified to do the work.
@miesrah12 Anything is possible in your fantasy world and that of Bob the Builder. I'm in the real world. When you want to try to do the things I do, you'll see that Bob the Builder has the advantage of the editing suite and animation.
I really appreciated the videos on crown moulding, particularly on fancy corners. I am a novice so I went looking for help & your videos got me through the regular corners. One inside corner was 120 degrees (I didn't the build the room). My saw only goes to 50 degrees & I was going crazy & using up my scrap pieces. After I watched your video, I cut 4x30 degree corners. It worked! I used the same process to do the baseboards. Mount, Dap, & paint & I now I get a goofy grin when I look at them.
Tim you RULE! Thanks for post super simple how to videos that get right to the point. Plus, you don't bring up any negative comments for the newbies either.
Your enthusiasm is infectious. Keep the video coming! THX!
Hey Tim ive done a few tiling projects but havent tiled stairs inside a house before. Im worried the tiles might crack or get loose how do you tile stairs and what do you use on the ledges?
Stairs are no different than any other floor. Go read all my past columns at my AsktheBuilder website about floor tile. Then watch all my Floor Tile videos. You use bullnose tile at the outer edges.
i am wiring a kitchen ceiling light to a switch, using the same circuit to wire a dining light to its switch and a porch light to its own switch. The dining light and porch light are working on their own switch but the kitchen light has power but the switch does not work. What I am doing wrong
What experience or opinions do you have with building using ICF- insulated concrete forms and do you think this is an up and coming building system. I like the idea of solid concrete walls for sturdiness and quiet and the insulation inside and out. I have built two houses now and am going to try a two story with icf all the way on the exteriors including daylight basement.
Really like your videos, very helpful and easy to understand. Am I allowed to post your a link to your videos on Facebook if people ask me how to do any DIY jobs?
You absolutely have my permission to post links at Facebook to any of the videos. I'd really appreciate it if you would link to them at my AsktheBuilder web site instead of going directly to YouTube. That way if someone who watches has followup questions or needs more info, they're at my site that has thousands of articles.
Nothing has been deleted. Your laminate question is here. I don't answer all questions. I answered you question about whether politics are discussed here. They are not.
Nope. No politics here. You find that on my TJCTV channel. But let me ask you, would you let your ideology, whatever it may be, block you from getting tips that could save you tens of thousands of dollars? If so, that's really too bad. But not to worry, no mention of politics here, ever.
hi Tim, I was thinking of tiling my bathroom with porcelein tiles, but I have heard that a snapper may not work(because of the hardness) what is your experience with snappers for porcelein?
If i do need a wet saw, whats your experience with the cheaper ones - like ryobi? Thanks so much!!! You are really the nicest & smartest man (i know that cause i see you all the time in your videos!!)
Thanks for all your videos Tim, I work at Menards and believe it or not but the knowledge I get from your videos helps a lot when answering guest's questions. thank you

Could I ask the builder if he could do a movie on how to properly board up a broken window?
I've done this before, but wither or not I done it right, well that' another matter :)
My problem is that I only have a small van, therefore I to have the wood carried in half or quarter amounts, which is a pain to put together if theres a large board up needing done
Tim - do you take show requests? I have a masterbathroom that is partially complete. My contractor left town. I am pretty handy. I just need some info on how to pour a wet bed (note: the framed out shower area doesnt seem level to me). Secondly, the bathtub (jacuzzi) is sitting in a framed out box; with wiring underneath; but not attached. Does the tub usually get attached to the wood frame? I can send pictures if you would like. I would be indebted to you for any advice. Rob from NJ
I don't travel to sites. There are no resources to fund that. I have the eBook you need to do that mud floor. Go to my site and discover my eBooks. Contact the Mfr of the bathtub to discover how it should be installed.

You didn't say what type of noise..... whistling, gurgling, etc. Contact Bradford White and get the installation instructions. Read them. See if the heater was installed correctly. It could be too small of pipe was used.
ok..sorry..It sounds like a huge furnace has turned on when the water heater turns on. NO gurgling....Our furnace is more quiet than the water heater!! Thanks again!
Hi Tim, Could you please tell me how can I paint my formica kitchen cabinets. They are white and plain. I don't like them but I can't afford to replace them either. Is it any way I can't make them look give them a wood like finish? HELP PLEASE!!!...Thank you!!
Hi Tim, I needed some help, I have a electric water heater in my wash room of my home. I have noticed latley it does not warm the water like it use to, and also the hot water does not last half as long as it use to. I think myabe the heateing element is not working, How do I check that myself?, and how do I do it safley? Thank You for All of you Help. From a Single Mom :)
The heating element is probably coated with scale. Go to the heater manufacturer's website and find the instructions on how to access and replace the element.
I talked to you a few mounts ago at a local Tool Rental. I would love to get started with a web site and start making videos, but I don't quit know where to start. Can you help?
You make sure the edge of the wood is held tightly against the fence. It usually requires the wood to be supported by a table that is at the same level as the table saw.
