  • Good basic tutorial for novices like me. Thanks very much.

  • what kind of camera that you used? I wanna ask, I use handycame to record, but it doesn't have focus for the picture. Can I give a blur effect in premiere pro CS5?

  • @ElizabethKleia this was an image sorry :/ your camera is probably better then mine though lol. I use a Kodak Zi8 :/

  • MY FUCKIN ADOBE IS TAKING 2 HOURS TO EXPORT A SIMPLE PICTURE WITH A SONG, IS THAT NORMAL? YES IT IS IN HD, WICH IS NO PROBLEM SINCE I HAVE Core i7 duo and gtx 590 -_-

  • WOW

  • This overlay works with video too, right?

  • I cant download the ling :( its not working

  • @kevwest007 check the new link :)

  • thank you very much for the tutorial, it was really helpful! thanks also for the overly file, which i used in my latest production :)

  • @MrDuHonk no problem! Thanks for watching! I'm glad you got something out of it :)

  • @MastaProduction

    Hi,

Your tutorial was clear and useful. I'm trialing Adobe Premiere and like the chromakey much more than the program I'm using (Power Director). When you have the video tracks in the timeline and have done the chromakey settings, how do you merge the tracks so you can export as one video file?

  • This overlay is really useful, however I'd like to ask if there was any solution in Premiere Pro itself, or a downloadable plugin to make borders like this. I can't believe this high quality video editor doesn't have such a feature. In Vegas Movie Studio this effect is called cookie cutter.

  • @DJSANYEE

    The borders are called vingetting.

You can achieve this in premiere by using magic bullet looks by red giant ;)

  • @5979nicholas Now knowing that it's called vignetting I could find a tutorial on YT that shows how to create this effect by using a title. I guess I'll stick to that instead of spending $400 on that magic bullet looks stuff. BTW thanks for the information.

  • This video doesn't start until 4 minutes in.

  • Ive been looking for this border! Thank you so much!

  • @Ryanheet no problem!! :D sub? c:<3

  • are you guys seriously arguing over some grammar. people don't care about that crap on here! you must be nerdy teenagers!

    @masta...anyhow, thanks for the videos!

  • the signal to noise ratio is horrible. strip silence your audio or adjust your mic level

  • wheres the link

  • @HighVoltageFilmsHD description! :)

  • Lots of talent! Subscribed :) keep it up :D

  • you need new mic ;)

  • so you created that overlay in photoshop?

  • Thank you so much, it improved my video SO much!

  • hey man thanx!

  • Max lol

  • @NikolaFlamenco Dude you're retarded, he's editing a picture just for an example.

  • @NikolaFlamenco Dude.. You are the stupidest person ever..

He is just using a picture to show you how to achieve the 'film look'. 'MastaProduction' doesn't actually use Premier Pro to edit pictures you fucking dumbass..

  • @littlewittlepup

    stupidest isn't a word.

  • @noelcmercado1987 Yes it is, check a dictionary, it's just not proper English. But it is a word..

  • @littlewittlepup

YOU read a dictionary, stupidEST is NOT a WORD.

  • @noelcmercado1987 Ok..

Are you seriously arguing with a stranger online about a word... Could you be any more pathetic?

And yes 'stupidEST' is a word. Just go on Dictionary(dot)com and search for it then your fucking annoying prick

  • @noelcmercado1987 Hey, Stupid. Stupid is an adjective and falls under the rules most other adjectives ending in a consonant follow with respect to degree. You have your basic (stupid), your comparative (stupider), and your superlative (stupidest). While the more common (and also correct) addition of the adjective modifiers "more'"and "most" , can be used alternatively, both methods are grammatically correct. "Hey stupid! There can be no stupider comment, cuz yours is the stupidest!" Perfect!

  • @Myuzishin Well, I am glad someone is still talking about this because I almost forgot about it..

  • @littlewittlepup lol it works on pictures and video the picture is just an example

  • @ilovevodka94 lol i know thats what i was saying ;P

  • @littlewittlepup I feel sorry for anyone who would want to work with someone like you who displays such a lack of class.

  • @NikolaFlamenco Dear Ignorant Sir/Madam. This video used a simple picture image with a high enough resolution to get an accurate depiction of 1080p/i video. I used a picture for demo purposes only, I do however own Adobe's; Photoshop, Dreamweaver, After Effects, Premiere Pro, Flash Pro, InDesign, and Fireworks. All of the CS5 / CS5.5 family. Until you take 2 minutes to look at my channel and realize that, don't comment pretentious things attempting to make me look "bad". Thanks.

  • @NikolaFlamenco aww how cute....

  • @NikolaFlamenco you can apply the techniques he is using to a video lol stupid fuck. Apparently you are the stupidest person I have ever seen since you clearly cannot read or comprehend basic ideas.

  • i fucking hate you, this is a terrible tutorial. extremely dragged out and you fucking said UH OH more then once. not somebody i wanna learn shit from. all you did was put a fucking PNG OVER THIS SHIT AND LOWER THE AUPACITY WHAT THER VUCK!

  • @Yoyokilla1 srry

  • your the man! thank you for the overlay.

  • Could you possibly save and upload the workspace style for me?

So I can get the same positioning :P.

  • How can edit the opacity of a video so I can layer one video on top of another while still seeing both?

  • I love the look of your workspace dude, very organised. thanks a bunch.

  • @1Mperios no problem :D and thanks!!

  • thanks dude cool vid

  • HOW DO YOU SAVE THE IMAGE OVERLAY IT DOESNT LET ME SAVE IT AS A IMAGE ONLY A HTML WEBSITE PLS HELP

  • Thanks For the Overlay , Your a Genius !! Great work Boss !!!!

  • im not sure how to pull the vig off the website you gave. it saves it as a html redirect

  • That is totally awesome you gave the link for the overlay! THANK YOU!!!

  • @MastaProduction how can I do this in iMovie?

  • @morris1021 I am working on Windows :/ However I am buying a 21.5in iMac soon. But for now, I am not sure :/ Search the internet possibly?

  • @morris1021

i doub that, imovie is realy basic, there are prob only present color corrections

  • presets*

  • @morris1021 it is not possible on imovie

  • @morris1021 Man, I don't think you can do this in iMovie. Final Cut X is probably what you want to get. That has a bunch of built-in effects that make doing this relatively simple, and it'll be a good step up if you're already familiar with iMovie. However, if you want to get Premier Pro, by all means do it -- it's great.

  • @CharIieDoom Great comment, with great help! Thanks man!

  • Can someone tell me how i get that epic overlay. The link in the decription of the video doesnt work :/

  • @fluff1991 Description updated for a permanent overlay!

  • Thank you for the mask :)

  • Thanks for tutorial and cool website you have, just a thing: I suggest you renaming it from co.cc, since Google deindexed all co.cc websites...

  • @MatheusMK3 actually I scrapped that little site, now i host a freelance graphic & web design site at xamstudio(.com)

  • Which software is better sony vegas or Adobe?

  • thank you for the overlay, dude ;)

  • @emanuelsj no problem, just took a quick second in photoshop! if you need anything else inbox me!

  • @MastaProduction I exported a project by using the overlay you shared. The opacity level is perfect the way it is so I didn't had to modify it further. Just love the way it looks! :)

  • Hi just a suggestion here - when you are colour correcting think what do you want to achieve - is the guy in the middle suppose to be so black on your corrected vid? I mean - just a suggestion here, I would like to see him a bit more, maybe play with highlight shadow optoion there?? It is pretty amazing how people just make their stuff looking "film like" just with very bad lighting...

  • @siviella didnt mean anything offensive though, just read my comment sounds quite bad, sorry.

  • @siviella haha its alright, and yes, this is just a picture so i dont really have the most dynamic control over lighting, if i would have shot this with my camera..it would have been better :/

  • what camera was the original footage shot with?

  • @TheMotifChannel This was just a high res image i found on Google :) but my only camera right now is a Kodak Zi8, I plan to upgrade to a better camera but mine has 1080p, as well as 720p/60fps!

  • vignette effect is not movie look, so you fail. Drop the vignette for sure,

  • @TheFullHDtube - it might appear depends of the lenses. check out the anamorphic - i worked on some panavision anamorphic lately and we got darkening on the edges and elliptical depth of field, so might help to blur edges little bit as well on anamorphic like video looks with panoramic ratio... Also old lenses vignette loads, especially wide ones (quality of glass)

  • I can't render a video with the overlay on, why?

  • Hix, i can't download it. Let's up this image in another place, please.

  • @onetvfpt has been updated!

  • @MastaProduction Thank you so much

  • @gloowryy That means your computer can't run it, go to my computer, right click it and go properties... message me everything it says!

  • @gloowryy buy a new computer

  • @gloowryy

Premiere CS5 requires a 64-bit OS to run.

  • Heyy! Great tutorial, helped a lot :) thankkks!
