It is hard to read the narrative it is to small. I will say that this area is creepy, have been out there a number of times. On one outing we did here whispers coming from the reeds near the edge of the road as we walked down it from the abandoned house.

theres many places in mathews that are haunted that ive stumbled upon, one night me and my friend were cruising down the road on our bmx on halloween night, and we came aross this house we thought we could get candy from, we pull up into the frivway and we move into the bakc and we see two apperitions, and old man and an old women, we quickly peeled our bmxs outta that area, when we got out we both had huge scrathes. later that week i found out there was a family grveyard at that house

Okay, I live in Mathews. Things do happen there. Not always, but where do things always happen? I'm not a strong believer in stuff like this, but this is one of the things that I do believe. Why? Because I felt like something was crushing me the whole time I was there, right until I stepped off of the property. There is more to the story than what is in the description. Ask the locals. They know the REAL story.

I checked out the woods, and went down to the beach and Mobjack Bay in Summer 2000--didn't see anything. But a photo I took there seems to show a wispy, white face between the trees. I never got into the woods, but I hear the "Old House" and "Cow Hole" are where the hauntings mainly are--if you can still find them. The old house is probably gone except for foundation ruins.

did you not get out of the car? i wandered around those woods for a couple hours with a few other people that same summer and didn't see or hear anything. we slept out on the beach that night as well, and again, nothing seen or heard. bummer.

This video is pretty bad, I've ghost hunted this place before, number 1, riding in a car does not constitute ghost hunting. I've walked those woods and I have yet to encounter everything, I'm more of a debunking ghost hunter. Get out of the car and go to the left about 200-300 yards into the woods, thats what is supposed to be haunted. Not the road.

It's in Mathews, Virginia, a very small town/county that doesn't even have traffic lights in it. There are lots of farms around there. I've been to Old House Woods because my family used to own a weekend house down there in Mathews.
