Yeah apple did a really good job the only thing that will scratch it is sand so make sure when you put it in your pocket you dont have any sand at all (I learned the hard way lol)

Take a peice of glass, or only a grain of sand rubbed against the screen. OH LOOK! The invincible screen has been scratched. If you look back on 7th grade science, you'll remember that things with a lower rating on the Moh's scale won't scratch something that is higher up. So Apple made the screen with glass that has a high rating, higher than needles or metal in general. I'd know cause I had one grain of sand on my notebook and my iPod slid across it: it scratched!

actually apple made it so it is pretty difficult to scratch due to it been fully touch screen. Otherwise apple would have to spend more than they make replacing the damn things. Some put invisible screen things on and then do a video. But 9/10 are true videos.

i find it funny how EVERY scratch test shows someone rubbing some object across the screen with the least amount of pressure. The Ipod Touch is NOT scratch proof. Mines got 2 scratches on its screen just from some lose change and keys in my pocket.

Just buy a silicon or leather case for it

The screen is glass so it can only be scratched by something harder than it, such as diamond or sand

However the back is made from thin metal (probably aluminum) and so it will scratch a lot easier against anything

A case will stop this, keeping your ipod touch lookin new, and it will make i easier to sell later on
