  • 8000Mah!!????

  • It's too quiet...

  • also loosen up the spur gear

  • I got this with a brushless set 10.5t motor oh ya its a novak motor!

  • maybe reomvoing the spoiler might stop the lifting of the from tyers :)

  • go nitro or go home.... just kidding all rc's rock

  • aight,im sure youve heard ths alot. im either getting a sc10,e firestorm,or a rc10t4. i know they are all goreat cars, but could you tell me what would be one of the best for the track? im usually driving 1/8 scales in the desert or so and am trying ot get back into the sport.oh and should i get the e firestorm and put a mamba in it? r get the flux?

thanks for your helo and good driving:)

  • @swigtrick sorry its a bit late but the flux will turn out cheaper for the same if not better quality

  • I have such equipment, sweeps, and in general

  • 3s lipo?

  • finnaly a decent video on the firestorm flux! none of the editing and effects BS just pure rc action

  • why did you sell this car?? it's so fantastic!!

  • Comment removed

  • @NITRO9192 sorry to say but that is misleading say for instance you are talking about the rc in the vid it is brushless and most likely was on 2s and well on 3s lipo I would say 60mph isn't out of the question so it is more of a question do you want speed, reliability, ease of use, or do you want noisy underpowered(in comparison) and completely unreliable unless you are a god at tuning is more like it

but not to mention nitro drips and electric rips

  • Do you think this would beast a rustler with the same battery set up?

  • i love that truck too, but its nitro not gas....

  • @NITRO9192

why? i am trying to decide over a flux or nitro plzz help.

  • @masterzun15 flux all the way it will outrun a nitro any day seeing as it is a mamba max powering it then it is capable of insane speeds and massive torque unless you're a nitro head (no offense meant to you) I would recommend the electric but remember to get some lipo's insane runtime and power

  • What would the runtime be for the 2wd flux if i were to use a 11.4 4500mah 30c lipo battery?

    Thnx for the recomendation :D

  • I don't have one of my own but I would imagine about 20-30 min as a conservative guess

  • thats sounds alright, thnx for ur contribution :D

  • Just remember there are lipos up to and past 8000mah my 8000 2s lipo lasted me over an hour

  • wow !!

how much would that batt cost??

  • I think they are about $70 on spc there are cheaper but I don't have any experiance on those ones

  • awesome video dude!

how fast do the firestorms go?

    50 MPH?

  • Que motor lleva?

  • i love everything rc. fast, slow, nitro or electric.

  • which motor and which controller. what do you use for batteries?

  • Is that the standard brushless set????

  • If you mean what comes with the FIrestorm Flux, the no - it's not the standard set. Motor and ESC were purchased separately from different stores.

  • they were the shit maybe 6 years ago! no w/ brushless and lipos things are much easier, faster, and quicker. almost no maintenance, and no tuning!!!

  • lol u even can't afford a nitro car!

  • how fast?

  • why did you get ride of it

  • Needed new toy(s). :)

  • and does 3s lipo allow slow acceleration and slow driving ?

  • I was told by a few pro that using 3S with the flux would only be usefull for going straight, the increased speed would make the car hardly controllable, can you confirm ?

Have you ever used the flux with 2s lipo ? if so, what was the difference in handling ?

  • Pretty much correct. 3S is so much power that the car becomes very difficult to drive. Too much wheelies isn't so good even if it may look cool.

Ofcourse everything depends from the finger that controls the throttle... :)

  • whats the spur and pinion gear size?

  • Spur was 87t and if I remember correctly the pinion was 15t.

  • what makes the car faster?

smaller pinion gear?and bigger spur gear?

  • BIgger pinion and/or smaller spur makes the car go faster when only adjusting the gears.

  • the cons are slower acceleration. i think.

  • @DarthWater7 but you need to start checking things like whether the motor will burn out if you start messing with gears. Smaller pinion=less acceleration and vice verse

  • how fast does it go with everything stock?

  • I can't answer that because I didn't drive it stock at all. Maybe around 27mph tops, depending from the battery used ofcourse.

  • Mine is all stock.

    Im using a 7.2V 3600mAh battery.

My reaches about 25-30mph on road

  • is this car better than a traxxas vxl

  • look at it go at 0:56

  • Can i ask something? Is this a good car? It costs only about 300€ thats why i wanna buy it, but i don't wanna buy a piece of (..).

btw can some1 tell me how fast it goes?

  • It's pretty nice and durable truck.

300€ for the brushless Flux version? You should definetely consider buying it then.

I don't know what is the top speed of the Firestorm Flux, it depends from the battery used ofcourse. The brushless Flux systems are made by Castle Creations (Motiv = Sidewinder).

  • Did you like this set up or the sidwinder 4600 combo?

  • Nice truck ;b

  • Hpi is my favorite brand trust me I have one.

  • u just made me want one of these so badly!!!

  • nice car man that a fast firestorm !

  • Superbe puissance de la voiture :-)

  • minkä merkkinen ja moni kv:inen moottori?

  • Tuossahan tuo alussa mainitaan, eli Lehner Basic 5300kv.

  • where is the hill / sand place

  • Siilinjärvi, Finland.

Check out the Statistics & Data info above.

  • Hello, wollte wissen ob ich dein Video auf meine Homepage stellen darf????

  • power truck o(∩_∩)o...

  • how much does it run??? I am very interested to buy one!!! What about the batteries??? how long the batteries (15-20 minutes)???? thank you in advance!!!!

  • With brushless motor, 11.1V lipo and proper gearing it should do atleast 70km/h, but the top speed is not important if you are driving off-road conditions.

Stock E-Firestorm (brushed one) might do around 40km/h.

Dunno about NiMH's but with 8000mAh LiPo you can get around 40 minutes of driving time.

  • what battery straps did you use to secure the 3s in?

  • Selfmade ones, made from normal velcro that was bought from drapery. :)

  • Hello, I have a few questions,

Does the mamba max overheat with 3s lipo?

can you run 1 lipo pack in one time without overheating it?

and, i'm looking for a good lipo battery for in my e-firestorm but which ones will fit and which ones won't? I was looking @ maxamps but dunno wich one to pick

  • The Mamba doesn't get hot, but the motor does. I'm currently running this car with Sidewinder 4600 combo and it has the same problems (with 3S). I've tried with different gearing also, but not much changed with the temps.

Almost any battery will fit, even the 8000mAh 3S. You'll just have to mount it to the foremost part of the battery bay and use some battery straps instead of the stock battery holder to keep it in place.

  • how much mah do you need on a 5700khz brussless to get a 1hr half of time or is that impossible.

    P.S nice bashing very good!!

  • It's not impossible - 8000mAh should be pretty close to 1 hour of runtime, depending from your driving style ofcourse.

  • What motor did you put on it?

  • I borrowed Mamba ESC and Lehner Basic 5300 motor from my E-Jato. It's only temporary until I'll get the Sidewinder 4600 combo that I ordered for Firestorm.

  • That's nice, very nice :)

    How fast can he go?

  • Haven't measured and have no idea. I have the Eagle Tree data logger with GPS expansion, which I might try in it and see how fast it can go.

  • did you find out yet how fast it goes

  • Actually no, did sell it to a friend as a roller. Got the Slash now... :)

  • oh and which one do you like more

  • I like them both a lot, Firestorm is darn good car in it's class and I would've loved to keep it for myself. My friend was pretty fed up with his Speed-T breaking all the time so he took my Firestorm from me... :)

When I sold my Jato also it was time get something new and Slash was just there.

  • that looks well fast, how long does the battery last?

  • Haven't actually driven the 8000mAh pack to cut-off yet. When this (and the jump clip) was shot, I was driving for about 20-25 minutes. Charged the pack today and it took 4105mAh to full.
