Not bad looking either. What did you use to secure the frame pieces together? If I were to have made that, it would not have lasted three years.

It's put together with some wood glue and 3" deck screws. Not much to it, really, and once the straps are in place, there isn't very much stress on it.

The thing is pretty crude, actually, but it does the job just fine. It's biggest plus is that I didn't have to spend $200 on it !

I'd have a hard time matching that other guys carpentry. My measuring tape isn't marked in cubits.

I had no idea what you were talking about until I went back to this vid and looked at the comments.

I'm pretty sure that thumb whacking is a pretty common occurrence for anyone who has ever wielded a hammer and nails for even 5 minutes!

You should check out brotherblonde, btw. Very nice guy from Australia, who has some good videos posted here on YT. He's one of my earliest internet friends from back in the LiveVideo days.
