This video doesn't really make sense. Michael Romeo is a great guitarist, but the fascination does not lie in his solos alone but in the solo "duels" with Michael Pinella (keys).

In "Egypt" you've got one of Symphony X's best guitar solos AND one of their best bass solos at the same time!!!!

nice selection, but i think youre picking up the "fastest" solos or the most 'known' ones probably.

dressed to kill? both Through the looking glass ones? The Turning? lady of the snow? just to give an example of UNBELIEVABLE solos that shadow the oens you posted.

and i cannot leave without saying that the guitar solos on "a winter's dream pt 2: the ascension" are a HAMMER on the forehead, unexplainably beautiful!!!

hi! thanks for the comment, you have reason, I have left out some solos that i tought they were not much known.

I know every songs of symphony, except the first album "Symphony X" that I am not able to find it :( .. and I like a lot the solos of your cited songs, in particular The Turning and Dressed to kill, whose solo is similar to The Haunting's ^^

Ah I advoid you to listen to the live "Live on the edge of forever" , if you don't know it.. there are 2 cds.. is fantastic!!

I would definitely add both solos of "Communion and the Oracle" to this list. Then again this is your video and not mine. My favorite of these would be "Egypt"
