Guys, what's the input for the move where Astaroth picks up the body with his axe and smash it on the floor? I can't seem to find it in the move list. =( or the charge kick he does at the end of the video?
Not a pro. But I can't help but notice in all of these videos Astaroth never uses any of his wide swinging moves or any of his long range moves at all. With the exceptions of his SLOWEST attacks in his set, mainly the unblockables.
At first I thought Just Guard nullified any full ranged attack. However just guard also blocks the unblockables. So what is the excuse to not use them? What is the point in using Astaroth if you won't even take advantage of his range at all?
Everyone's talking about the similarities between Sophitia & Pyrrha and the loss of Cassandra (Yeah I know it hurts :'[ ) but no one seems to care about Talim T_T.. Even though like 1/3 have to be relearned at least they're still there to play :c Talim's gone forever-/3
@LOLCiTRUSxD well for one Pyrrah ALEXANDER is Sophitia ALEXANDERS daughter and Talim can easily come back as a DLC if the fans really want her back, because i think the developers will release the most wanted characters which are OBVIOUSLY Talim and a few others like Satsuka and Taki..

@FTWCjiddy Only problem is that Elysium uses a random weapon used by any female in the game, so players who specifically play as Sophitia will still want to play as Pyrrha for a Sophitia feel. Although I did use the Soul Calibur wiki for this information, so I don't know how true it is.
I don't know why people are saying Pyrrha is like Cassandra or they are comparing Cassandra to Pyrrha. I main Cassandra. I know the way she fights, all her moves, and she fights NOTHING like Pyrrha. Pyrrha's moves are almost exact replicas of Sophitia or they are completely new. I don't see ANY moves from Cassandra that Pyrrha uses. So Cassandra shouldn't even be involved in this. Btw that attitude of Pyrrha's doesn't belong in these types of games.
Tekken or Soul Calibur? This is a serious question...i liked tekken but tekken 6 killed the era. I havent played soul calibur much but i might be intrested but want to hear some pros about it :O

The gameplay still looks really messy, and the dialogue isn't helping matters. But then, considering how many fans this game has, it's not likely that they're going to try too hard to fix what ails it.

@MartinArku Yeah, you can. When you see the replay 3x, that means you've broken part of the equipment. There is also an option to disable it. According to DASHI_Calibur on Twitter, it's much more difficult to destory.
Well, I love Sophitia, so I can see myself loving Pyrrha's move list, but her voice and crying after winning if probably REALLY going to get on my nerves. Oh well. Thats what the create a fighter is good for.
Alot of her moves are quite similar to her mothers. If theyre smart, they will give her move sets intrinsic to her aunt's in SC2. Cassandra was on point in SC2 probably the best she's ever been in the series. They made her a hell alot less powerful in SC3 and she was just "meh" in SC4.
@bitterending14 sorry but i felt that she was never as powerful as she was in 2. She was most definitely at her peak then. IMO she was never the same after 2.

even with how much im looking forward to this game, there's still a quality that was present in II that seems missing. even the animation seemed more natural and fluid in II and the camera - watch?v=40mVOVpZp44a - the coloured weapon effect trails are too much as well and distract from the action rather than drawing attention to it
@Invertedzero Although I completely agree on the weapon effects, notably how Pyrrha's is so damn BRIGHT.....the "natural and fluid" comment on animation is questionable....these players look like they're playing with an arcade joystick, but looking at a good video of Tira ( watch?v=ju1qRlr8__Q ) in this game, I'd say the animation's fairly natural.

Alot of her moves are quite similar to her mothers. If theyre smart, they will give her move sets intrinsic to her aunt's in SC2. Cassandra was on point in SC2 probably the best she's ever been in the series. They made her a hell alot less powerful in SC3 and she was just "meh" in SC4.

even with how much im looking forward to this game, there's still a quality that was present in II that seems missing. even the animation seemed more natural and fluid in II and the camera - watch?v=40mVOVpZp44a - the coloured weapon effect trails are too much as well and distract from the action rather than drawing attention to it

@Invertedzero Although I completely agree on the weapon effects, notably how Pyrrha's is so damn BRIGHT.....the "natural and fluid" comment on animation is questionable....these players look like they're playing with an arcade joystick, but looking at a good video of Tira ( watch?v=ju1qRlr8__Q ) in this game, I'd say the animation's fairly natural.
