Paganism is not a religion itself, but a sum of ALL the pre-Christian religions you see today. As in Pre-Christian, that includes Islam, Catholic, Muslim, and a few more. After 21st December the hours of daylight increase until the 2nd equinox on the 21st June (the Summer Solstice). Funny. I'm Pagan, and we are not hidden at all. There are national and international charities, temples, places/houses of worship, chaplins serving in the Army and in the correctional system, etc. The fear and misunderstanding some (not all) Christians feel for those of us who hold faith the indigenous religions of our ancestors is truly sad. This is especially so when you consider that Paganism abhors the concept of prosthelization. Be blessed.

1. paganism isn't a religion, it's an umbrella term for religions that are non-Abrahamic, or pre-Christian.
2. yes Christian festivals derive from pre-Christian religions.
3. does it really matter if you celebrate the winter solstice or not? why would your god take offence at celebrating the seasons?
4. thank you for recognising Yule, it deserves some attentions because so many people don't realise why they are putting up the christmas tree.

I like how he says "We're not saying that you'll be thrown into the lake of fire if you're practicing these event in ignorance." I was Christian before I found Paganism, & it was then that I realized I was practicing Christianity in ignorance... Every Christian holiday I was partaking in had nothing to do with Jesus at all. At the time, that was a shoker to me.. I once was blind, but now I see..Not making light of the situation, but that's the truth.

There is only one God. We just worship God by various methods. God is like the big blue ocean, all religions and beliefs are like rivers and streams. Humankind is the drop of water. It doesn't matter which river or stream you take, as long as you walk in faith and live in truth. It is what is in your heart that matters. Look with your heart and not with your eyes. I would be interested in finding out if any pagan traditions are real carry-overs of pagan traditions from Roman times (families who practiced in secret for a long time or whatever)

On a side note - there is no being 'right' when it comes to beliefs. Their is no higher path or one truth, only what works for each individual.

This is one of the two equinox's of the year (when the hours of light and dark in a day are in perfect balance). After 21st December the hours of daylight increase until the 2nd equinox on the 21st June (the Summer Solstice). So on Yule ancient Pagans (and todays Pagans) celebrate the return of the Sun, ergo the birth of the Sun Gods.

Funny. I'm Pagan, and we are not hidden at all. There are national and international charities, temples, places/houses of worship, chaplins serving in the Army and in the correctional system, etc. The fear and misunderstanding some (not all) Christians feel for those of us who hold faith the indigenous religions of our ancestors is truly sad. This is especially so when you consider that Paganism abhors the concept of prosthelization. Be blessed.

This is an awesome video! As fellow Christian's we have been doing our own research and you guys are spot on! It's amazing how many paganistic "traditions" have found there way into modern Western societies and into homes of unsuspecting and perhaps ingnorant Christians. As parents we feel so blessed the Lord has revealed this to us so we can protect our children from participating in these "rituals" and bring more of a focus on our Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ.
