I hate spammers and chain throwers. Reason is simple, I don't spam and I haven't learned chain-throwing (though I can put up a helluva fight, no matter the opponent).

Chain thorws are unfair and cheap because you can't do anything about it. You have to sit like a bitch and take it.

It should only be done in tournements, not playing with friends or even the AI. It takes the fun out of it, for you and your friends.

Excluding character specific infinites, chaingrabbing isn't unfair. They can be avoided and they don't take a stock. It's like combos (except they take less skill).
