Hey my name is Mihai....im from Romania and i was wondering iff you could help me with something. I've seen some of your videoclips the "how to ride a motorcicle first time" and " how to ride a motorcicle part 1 " and i really need your help.... My dad will buy me a 250cc ninja in like 1 or 2 moths and i need a critic :D...I know it sounds a bit wierd but yea....i need you to tell me what i'm doing wrong so i will know what to do in the nearest future and not to do :) thx and good luck...
that test seems way easier than the british motorbike test, a 15mph emergency stop, we have to do a 32mph emergency stop accelerating out of a corner. did you do all of the elements at the speed you were showing in this video because on our cone slalom we have to show slow riding ability where as it seems you can do it at your own speed. do you also not get evaluated for doing safety checks before each manouvre? just strange how different places have different standards but with equal risk.
Hey! I have a Honda Rebel 250 CC bike and i'm going to take my test soon, my states website states that i have to be able to do a 360 going left and right without my foot touching, a figure 8 both ways without my foot touching the ground, and be able to ride up and down hills. The 360 and figure 8 are easy enough, and I can do hills but I'd still like to see an updated video, and I'm taking your advice on practicing, I almost didn't thanks for the upload though
I got a question my bike is a pulsar 150 dtsi is it better to break with the back break or front brake, I am scared to use the front brake cos I keep on thinking that I am going to flip over is that really true?? TY
Haha not at all dude. The only way you would flip over frontwards would be to pull on it REALLY hard and lean your body forward. The front brake gives you 70% of your stopping power. Dont be afraid to use it.
im going to be starting on a Kawasaki Ninja 650R in a few years. i have been told its a good choose, because i am a big guy, and i would find that 250's dont have enough power for someone my size
The 650R is a respectable beginner bike. But I think you would be surprised at how quick the 250s are. Even with big guys on em, they are still quick. Im not sure about leg room on a 250, so the 650R is probably a better choice.
i dont see why everyone is shitting their pants about starting on one, if your as cautious as can be i really dont see the problem. id rather start of on a 600 rather than get a 250 and within 3 or 4 months buying a 600, thats just a waste of money
Im not a mechanic, but I am pretty sure bikes were designed to use engine braking. Either use your brakes and replace the brake pads more often, or use engine braking and replace the clutch pad more often.
whyz ur clutch bent?????what do i do when i go downhill,....grab the clutch or leave it.....if i grab da clutch full....da engines like dying so i have 2 throttle it every now and then....if i don't the engine roarz....and i think thtz gonna eat a lot of petrol....u got ny tips???
Whenever I am going downhill, I usually shift up so the revs dont get to high and use engine braking. I don't grab the clutch, I just let the engine do its thing.
i still have a problem with braking and coming to a stop. I always stall my engine. I kinda forgot from the course.... but its only ok to pull in the clutch during 1 and 2 gear so that you won't stall??? cause i know you shouldn't in 3rd gear... but i should engage the clutch like i would in a car when i'm braking to a stop correct?
Thanks for the cool video. Your bike is interesting as well. It's way better to learn how to ride on an older bike. You should explain the technique of 'looking trough turns' though. "Always look where you want to go. Not right in front of the bike." Thats a big tip for beginners out there.
Braking on my bike (YZF600r) is mostly front brake. I always test my emergency braking once in a while. Braking on my bike is almost 95% front brake. You should try on my bike. The next time we go ride you can try these things on my bike. I think it feels a bit different then how you explained it.
Yea it depends how heavy your bike is. It will probably feel different for every bike. I cant edit my videos so I cant edit out stupid things I say or do. Sometimes I just get to talking out my ass without really thinking about it.... haha yea I should have clarified that

hey,
Can't using your rear brake when making a u-turn be kinda dangerous? Can't it cause the tires to lose traction?

hey hi im getting 2010 ninja250r and what i dont know is what do i do w/the choke do i start fromthe top 2bottom or what?
primoisrael 2 years ago
The off position for the choke should be in the forward position. To use the choke, just pull it back.

same here im starting off on a zx 6r

You said I shouldn't start out on a 650cc, but I am a kinda big guy. Too big for most 250s. Would it be that hard to start out with a 650?
T1P1N 2 years ago
Not starting on a 650 is a general rule of thumb. But IF you have the self-control and extra money to do it... than go for it.
Iroquois14 2 years ago
doesnt it wear off the clutch pad then??.......dun knw but i think ..........xd

engine braking????
Diwash1 2 years ago
Engine braking is when you let out the clutch and let the engine wind down, it helps you come to a stop without using much of the real brakes.
Iroquois14 2 years ago
whyz ur clutch bent?????what do i do when i go downhill,....grab the clutch or leave it.....if i grab da clutch full....da engines like dying so i have 2 throttle it every now and then....if i don't the engine roarz....and i think thtz gonna eat a lot of petrol....u got ny tips???

I sat on the KLX25o today and it was a little big, now I am gonna get a Honda 230L haha
connor1717 3 years ago
KLX250? Thats pretty small, how big are you?
Iroquois14 3 years ago
I'm like 5'10 and I know I could handle the KLX250S, but I just like smaller bikes because I'm still pretty new.

Iroquois14 3 years ago
what's a choke??
connor1717 3 years ago
It enriches the mixture in the engine (I think) and helps to start the engine when it is cold (has not been running).
Iroquois14 3 years ago
you are going toooooo fast. But thanks for the tips.
