  • Mike Portnoys!!

  • I love this ride but honestly if I got it I would feel like I'm copying Mike Portnoy.

  • @Peartnoy518

thats stupid. you mind as well give up drums, because someone out there has the same things as you does that mean youre copying them? i hope that was sarcasm or you sir are a silly billy

  • @howycwap But I'm saying I already have some other cymbals in a setup similar to his and seeing how the youtube community is blind, if I ever did anything with it they'd just ridicule me as a fanboy instead of looking at what I'm playing, Sorry if that was unclear

  • @Peartnoy518

no ythey wouldnt. unless it was setup exactly like his, like placement and everything. id say placement is more important than the actual cymbals

  • Are sbain one of the only only companies still doing hand hammered cymbals?

  • @StephenFiorentini in north america yeah, zildjian does in turkey, they do some here but its mostly mixed with machine hammering, paiste does machine and hand mixed, meinl does hand hammering in turkey as well. Good thing about Sabian is, their hand hammerers are the best in the world.

  • If this had the Stagg logo on it nobody would buy it. Stagg cymbals almost comes up to this cymbals, but are not valued enough, because of their amazingly low price.

  • @RamboRabbit1345 yeah but stagg DH and SH's crashes and rides suck and myras and furias are impossible to get

  • every heavy ride isn't good to crash. It's happen with this ride... anyway , this ride have a nice ping

  • That's my dream cymbal, but here in Brasil this cymbal is VERY EXPENSIVE!

    Fuck! R$1299,00 = US$789,00!!!!

  • @GabrielGeno order it through something like musiciansfriend (dot) com

    20inch rock ride= 349 US dollars

    22inch rock ride=419 US dollars

  • I want it !!

  • wut kinda stick is it

  • although i am a zildjian guy, this ride may be the best on planet earth :P

  • looks very sexy

  • This is not a cymbal for thrash metal, it s got more of a jazzy old fashion vintage sound had mine for 9 years and still in perfect condition.

its a cymbal that last you a life time.

  • @jellyboy123 I do not agree. When played with a hickory stick, the pingsound of the bell can be used in all kinds of (trash)metal(core) scenarios. But then again, that is my opinion. :)

  • bought this from this very store online, and its easily the best cymbal I've ever played :)

    and I play metal

  • is this the ride mike portnoy used for scenes from a memory?.. Cheers.

  • YEs indeed :)

  • this is the ride mike portnoy plays when hes on the left side of his kit

  • i dont like the bell sound

  • this ride isnt for metal but mike portnoy uses this bcuz of the versatility and presence of it.. if you see mike pornoy he is a very versatil drummer, he has congas octagongs, percussions, he is the man! and the dark tone of this ride matches perfectly

  • hh and hand hammered are the same right

  • Yes, hh stands for hand hammered. ^^

  • ok lol i thought so but i wanted to be sure

  • Yes, it is the ride Mike Portnoy uses.

I love both, the ride and the fantastic drummer.

  • great

  • This is the ride Mike Portnoy uses right?, of all his cymbals of his, i always loved the sound of his ride.

  • Maybe a late reply : P but yes it is:)

  • how much?

  • $389.00

  • @bostondrum HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHHAAHHAAHAHA $389. Good Lord.

  • is this one recommended for metal but also like soft rock and that stuff??

  • use your ears...

  • If it is recommended for metal, then it is probably part of the dark sound collection. Really nice.

  • bright to the touch, dark ringing.. :0

  • clean dark tone i think im in luv i hav the hh power bell but i think i wanna buy this

  • i was going to buy metal AAX ride

but i bought that one and im so happy with it its perfect i recomnd it very strong

  • Probably the only ride that I like from Sabian. The bell's ping is nice and glassy.

  • this is the ride portnoy uses...sounds amazing on his records. I just picked up a 21" HHX Groove ride...which is amazing BTW

  • how well do you like it? I'm considering that one. From youtube videos I've seen, it seems on the washy side. I like that as long as it isn't too much.

  • this sounds awesome. i have an A custom 20" ride.. i think it has way too much overtones. but a nylon stick makes it more brighter, sorta balances so that the overtones don't overpower the ping =/. i saw it at the music store for like 3xx. i didn't even look past the 3... too expensive for me. it was one big mofo to pick up .. xD

  • yea i ahve a A custom ride to...hate it, im gettin a HH RBDR, freakin awesome!

  • I think I found my new ride

  • ur going to get this?

  • This thing's got a great ping with minimal overtones. Wish I had $389 to blow.

  • is this good for crashing?

i know ive just heard it but i need another drummers opinion

  • If you're playing loud music, this would make a pretty substantial crash!

  • @bostondrum i have it, it doesnt crash very well at all... it just get louder

  • beautiful, I love it!

  • Do u guys deliver to ireland?

  • Sure, just let us know what you want and we'll give you a shipping quote. Thanks!

  • Cool! Do u do PPmeinl cymbals?

  • Sure. Thanks again!

  • can i have that?

  • For $389.00, yes!

  • can i borrow $389.00?

  • Ha ha, touche!
