I think I would hesitate to use the phrase "heretical" on something that is not accepted by all Christian churches, as opposed to Jesus' death, burial and resurrection. The worst it can be is bad teaching, if it is. Heretical would be saying Jesus isn't coming back at all.
Having watched the videos I find that the theory used here is some what problematict. It is true that this Book of Revelation is historical prophecy but I would not go as far as to say it was for that day not for today. Interpretation affects the application though two different things one does in fact affect and effect the other. Historical Interpretation and Current interpretaion affects society in different times. Therefore I put it to you that prophecy and interpretation of Revelation is for the purpose of drawing man unto God before He must fulfill His own mandates. And there is a second filling of prophecy. Jesus says in chapter 1 in verses 1-3 that these things must SHORTLY come to pass and the time was NEAR. The is in accordance to His statement in Matt 24:34 that the present generation would NOT pass away until ALL these things,Olivet Discourse were fulfilled.A generation in 40 years. If you think about it the Gospel of John is the only Gospel not to contain the Mount Olivet Discourse.

How can faith trump fact if we're supposed to accept God's Word, especially when the Bible uses words like "study," "strive," "examine," "search," etc. Read 2 Peter 1:16-21. We have faith in Christ and His atoning work on the cross. We have faith that God will come back. How? Because of the facts presented in Scripture.

The book of Revelation is an open book that tells us about the end times, in fact Rev. 22:10 says, "Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, because the time is near..." Really? The Apocalypse is John's version of the contents of the Olivet Discourse in highly symbolic language. Jesus says in chapter 1 in verses 1-3 that these things must SHORTLY come to pass and the time was NEAR. The is in accordance to His statement in Matt 24:34 that the present generation would NOT pass away until ALL these things,Olivet Discourse were fulfilled.A generation in 40 years. This is a REALLY good way of putting it -- one I've used before.
If you think about it the Gospel of John is the only Gospel not to contain the Mount Olivet Discourse.
Why?
Because John already wrote the book of Revelation prior to that. If you get the correct preterist interpretation of Daniel and Mt. 24, then Revelation falls into place.

We have been living in the "last days" since Pentecost according to Acts 2:17.
And according to Acts 1:7, "It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority. But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."
We are forbidden to look into when the end will be. In the meantime, we are to make disciples of the nations.

The video is a good one. A lot of preachers have it right on who the beast is but think the harlot is Rome. It is NOT! The Harlot is not the Roman Catholic Church either. It is Jerusalem. I have been meaning to produce a video series for you tube on this. The evidence for Jerusalem beingf the harlot is overwhelming. Yet, he is right on Nero being the beast. One thing people confuse is the beast with the antichrist. There have been and still are MANY antichrists.RLJ

The Bible in Daniel and Revelation give plenty description of who the woman, the whore, the beast, the dragon are.... if you can fit all the points given in these books to another power other than the Papacy then please let me know.... there are at least 8-9 characteristics given in Revelation alone about the beast... PLUS Revelation 13 speaks again about the beast in addition to a SECOND beast, and it seems both these beasts have some a big task in the world in the last days

The dragon is Enki. (His children-Tares) The Beast is NOT one man, just as the animalistic mascots preceding the 'Beast' is not one person, but plainly an empire. The Beast was just without description from any earthly anology. The Beast is Rome as a kingdom and it's leaders. The Woman is the Israelite Nations as promised to Abraham through four generations to Epharim.

See I don't think it is. The Lord will come and rescue His people and the City will not be destroyed. And as for commerce and merchants - that is not what Jerusalem is known for. I thought Babylon is a worldwide thing since she sits on many waters. See? Jerusalem does not does it?

I agree with the comments made here. A) It seems like nothing more than a promo to sell videos. B) Anyone who done a reasonable amount of study knows that "the beast" is empires or governments that persecute christians and assume great 'godlike' authority. Im not Catholic but the RC Church would mostly like produce 'The False Prophet' as the beast would not represent any religion but rather its version of rule. Check your history. The Council of Nicea changed the law and times.

This clip is a waste of time - basically just a promo for people to purchase a DVD. If they feel they have knowledge that should be shared with the public, then let them do so without charging money for it. I honestly don't think anyone knows who the Beast will be, as its not meant for us to know. It's sufficient just that we are able to recognize him when he appears, and until then live our lives with Jesus. All the speculation re who the beast is really does not get us anywhere.

I have heard Jesus could come back any minute while hearing same preacher lay hands on a child prophesying when he grows up God will call him into ministry. And then we have this "soon" business. Ask yourselves, Is the words "in a little while" in the bible the same as we use it today? When Paul said that Jesus was coming "in a little while" 2000 years ago do you ever think that he might have been fooling his hearers? God forbid! Yet we are doing the same thing today.

How do you explain the 1000's of Christians that were killed BECAUSE of professing their belief in Christ 100's of years PRIOR to Constantine? Also, how do you explain Paul's death at the hands of the Roman empire for spreading the word about Christ again, prior to Constantine. The truth you're missing out on is that Christianity does not have it's beginnings with Constantine - CATHOLICISM has it's beginnings with Constantine.

The message is absolutely free. You can read the full text of the message at my website. People have to pay for the DVD because video costs a lot of time and money to produce. TAANSTAFL -- "There ain't no such thing as a free lunch!" Someone has to pay for it.
However, although this message is important, it's not essential -- no one is going to hell over not getting it. It's more important for people to believe that Jesus died for them and offers eternal life to those who believe.

Yes, or the all-loving God will burn them for eternity for the viewing pleasure of those he deems good people. I always forget that part. That's much more fun than just killing them; he has to delight in their suffering instead. And don't say that a soul is immortal, because if it is, and God can't kill it, then it makes him not all-powerful.

That's tortured logic. There are some things God cannot do because it contradicts His nature. For instance, God cannot be finite, He cannot sin, He cannot be ignorant, He cannot be divided, He cannot lie, and so on.
The definition of omnipotence does not include the ability to do things that contradict the nature of an omnipotent being.

I agree with you, that it is not essential. But the church's view of mission and evangelsim totally changes from being "lets save those we can before the rapture and antichrist comes" to "LETS DISCIPLE ALL NATIONS AND TAKE OVER THE WORLD BEFORE JESUS COMES". Getting this just fires up the passion of an unstoppable army, so i think the effect it have on evangelism is excellent!

Check out Postmillenialism An Eschatology of Hope -by Keith Mathison -While there are certainly types of antichrist Nero was the specific one John was referring to. Thats why he spoke somewhat cryptically of his identity, to avoid more persecution and confiscation of scripture. The majority of Revelation was fulfilled in the first century like Jesus said it would be, in his immediate audiences lifetime.
