That was all Morgan Shepherd's fault. Schrader went hight to pass and Shepherd slid up, so Schrader went even higher. But that still wasn't enough as Shepherd lost control of his car and body slams the fastest car into the wall. Schrader had worse luck than anyone I ever saw.
Another unfortunate situation for Kenny Schrader at Daytona. Ironically, the same thing happened at the finish of the 1987 Pepsi-Firecracker 400. While Bobby Allison won the race, Schrader was on his roof, finishing seventh on Harry Gant's hood of the Skoal Bandit. First it was car #90 that wrecked, now it's the #25 in the wall. Two race cars destroyed at Daytona.
