Yes he is still for sale; he is in professional training, and we just started jumping lessons. Although right now the snow is too deep and too crusty on top, I had been riding him all over to the neighboring farms. He is not barn sour, and enjoys going for rides. Have not yet ridden him with other horses (the opportunity did not present itself yet) but that should go well, too.
this guy looks very impressive, amazing movement and looks like he will have good scope for jumping as well.
Someone who wants to do everything should buy this guy. I hope a really good rider gets him to show him off to his potential. His sire is starting eventing on the west coast.
He could be amazing for someone who wants to do FEI endurance. He would be very fast and comfortable.
I know, he is such a wonderful guy. He had a year to find a home with an Akhal Teke breeder but everyone was interested in a gelding not a stallion. I am sort of surprised that the Akhal-Teke community did not snatch him up, with his size, conformation, mind, and pedigree. He is an awesome gelding. He is by Pan Tau, out of a Kara-Burgut mare.
He will be started under saddle this winter. Thanks for the kind comments.
Yomut is another Turkoman horse, the Teke is just from another area, but the Russians have developed the "Akhal-Teke" into it's own breed and done some amazing breeding.
He is still for sale, has been gelded in the meantime. Several interested people looked at him, and although they felt strongly that he had upper level potention in dressage and eventing, they did not want a breeding animal, and did not want to risk gelding a 5 year old. Wisconsin winters are tough, and we breed Orlov Rostopchins rather than Akhal Tekes. He was gelded at home and, consistant with his personality, he took it in stride. He is an awe-inspiring gelding. Asking $10,000. Other videos
why is this horse always shown on some kind of shitty ground?! Even in the stills? Can't you people let prospective buyers see him on a flat surface? It's better for selling in case you don't know that!! Also seeing his legs below the knee helps...
Ouch! It is hard to get good photos and videos of the horses. Especially when taking care of and training the horses is so time consuming and so much more fulfilling. There are more photos of him on my website, this will be posted.
We thought the photo of him standing across the ditch was amazing, because it demonstrated the triumph over the flood damage we survived.
That comment was for hackey , who I believe must be a child. Penta is a gorgeous example of the AT breed and that is apparent no matter what. Gorgeous stallion!
Penta is sold to a wonderful rider! He will have a great home!
