Dear Al what is your opinion of the NDAA signed by president Obama. Are you ok with the part that allows warrantless arrests of american citizens with indefinite detention and possible execution without a lawyer or trial or a formal charge.. isn't that a step backwards in civil rights?
Man, the Raspberrys backup...the groove....the drummer with the tom tom hit on the offset...and his vocal tracking like an instrument. Man, its a recording session clinic. Just the best.
Al Green in the white suit in the Wicker Chair... WoW!!!
I am sooooo happy that technology has been able to provide an opportunity to continue to enjoy this music... Crystal clear like it was just recorded!!!
@MsNJLove my granny has the old record with this very cover that you speak of... she is 90 yrs old and still can hum a tune from Al Green! #Awesome Man of God!
i remember being little...driving back from disney world to Philly...and its late at night...air condition blowing real cold... and i am in the back seat half asleep listening to this song... just some feel good shit
This song makes me happy. Reminds of when my father was alive, and we drove to South Carolina during the summer to visit his mother and brothers and sisters that were still living there. I was a little girl of about 8 or 9 when this was out. Good memories. My life was so uncomplicated, and good...
@weluvmusick Simply put. I have loved this man since I was nine. People who passed my house knew that I was home if they heard Al Green songs. I am now 47, and some still do not understand with all of the Artist out, why I do not have an up to date singer. I love the music of Al Green and as I told my kids he will always be my favorite singer. PEACE!
@196465 I like all of Al's 70s music but beyond that era I just don't get it he's still a great singer without a doubt but his new music in my opinion just don't stack up to his old stuff
I'm still in love with Al Green after all of these years....when this came out i was eighteen years old and i still feel that way when i listen to Al.Love you,Mr Green.
@jakex7 hey that's one of the wonderful things about good music it transcends all racial and social barriers I grew up in the 70s listening to classis rock like Bad Company, Areosmith. Led Zeppelin ELO and too many others to name but I never did drugs I just liked the music
omg you guys don't you love me because I say I hate modern music and call it trash and can't spell correctly and love this stuff because this was true music zomg 50 cents is bad
If there's a more soulful or smooth sounding tune out there, I know not of its existence. How many artists after the man bear his influence. Marvelous!

My dad yelled so loud I thought the roof would come off the house. I'd do it again just to see the great Al Green sing again. Thanks for the posting.
@Saxyman9...AMEN! I agree also about girls today....they just put it all out there-and that is NOT sexy at all. A woman should be a woman. A lady at the right time...and when behind closed doors w ur man/husband...whatever he wants you to be. I certainly am sensitive to my husband's desires, but he would not like it at all if it were at the inappropriate times...Thanks for posting the timeless song weluvmusick!
Now this is the man. I'd sing his music walking home from school. No ipod in those days. But, the song was in my head and still is. Blow Al, blow..Love u
