You ask me it's Teva and Dr Reddy's pushing the fake drugs. You can buy the name brand Ambian (Stilnox) by Sanofi-Aventis in Mexico for $75 or the name brand Ambian (Stilnox) by Sanofi-Aventis at a Texas WalGreens for $250
the most widely used rat poison is flouride. So no worries about being lucky to take a pill. Everyone who drinks tap water is being slowly poisoned. Fundamentally.
I know this man. He was my drama teacher at Canterbury College. trained at east 15. Also does Mr kipling adverts and looks a hell'a'lot like Craig Ferguson. name of Steven White
Although, the drug warfarin is actually used both as a blood thinner and as rat poison. So even if the pills aren't fake they still may have rat poison in them.
FFS! the chemical in rat poision warfarin is the most popular drug prescribed for blood clotting... so yes ffs of course its in alot of drugs.....This whole thing is funded by pfizer so you know its a joke...they're just pissed they are lossing out on some major profit!!
god this ad is fking disgusting, how on earth was this given the go ahead to be shown on tv, the ones who did should be ashamed (they were prop paid off by the multi-million £ drug company). Its just as bad as hardcore porn being shown on my tv in my op. It doesnt even send a clear message, wtf has eating a rat got to do with faulty drugs, its just stupid scare tactics.
but thats not the point of the video, its supposed to be about buying drugs online instead of perscription ones, anyway if a had a rat come out of my mouth, i'd have worse problems to think of than drugs, LOL
first of all this is not someone eating a rat its about people selling pills over the internet and people not knowing whats in them, i.e rat poison! i think this video was graphic enough to scare people into not buying faulty pills! why they took this off is beyond me, maybe they should do a video of a kid shooting another kid then maybe we wont have any yobs like we do now! its people like you who gets these advert off tv and that dont help to make a difference!
@ZebraColours10 You laughed?? Wow! you must have a strong stomach! I was shocked, it reminded me of that weird ad where the man suddenly got off the sofa and coughed up a live dog
You may all think it's disgusting, but that's one of the factors that will contribute to its success. People will be scared of ordering fake medicine online, because of the chance it contains rat poison, or other dangerous substances.
There was a chewing gum advert in the UK that got banned because it had a dog forcing it's way out of a man's mouth - the tagline was 'Don't get dog breath'
"Poison is in everything, and no thing is without poison. The dosage makes it either a poison or a remedy."
For example warfarin (a common rat poison) kills rats nicely, but in small doses it's an effective and relatively safe medicine against formation of blood clots, used since the 1950s.
Even excess tap water can kill, just look up 'water poisoning'. Still, you wouldn't say 'water is poison', would you?
The advert uses shock, which is a very effective technique to alert people to very real dangers with which they may otherwise not be aware.
I'm also presuming you meant disgusting as digesting is completely irrelevant.
As the other guy said, voice your opinion on things when you are a little more educated about the matter.
My opinion is that it's a really good ad, not many companies have the balls to use shock like this, the other one I remember was a 'Think' advert with a balloon and a drunk.
This avdert is stupid, Everytime it comes on i can't believe how stupid it is.
Rat poison does not mean your swallowing a rat!!! Oh i swallowed some Rat Poision so now all of a sudden a Rat is going to appear in my mouth. pfffftttttt
If your going to use Scare Tactics, At least do it correctly!
This is the illuminati at work again. As the previous poster pointed out the drug companies are worried about online competition. It is discusting and I will be reporting the ad to the advertising standards, i suggest you do too.
I see this as Big Pharma getting worried about their multi-billion dollar drug business because of online competition, so they manipulate the masses by associating gross, disgusting imagery with online medicine.
Why the hell would any company put rat poison into a pill? To me this sounds similar to the 'strychnine found in LSD' myth. Pharma companies don't give a shit about your health - all they care about is money, and this is a campaign trying to protect their business, not your health.
If I were to sell fake pills, I'd put sugar into them, not something that poisons the patient, especially not rat poison. And by the way, it could still work by placebo effect.
(Even doctors prescribe fake sugar pills to patients - a Journal of General Internal Medicine study found that 'almost half of the 231 respondents said they had prescribed placebos in regular clinical practice'.)
Right, but these illegal drugs off the internet are made as cheaply as possible. Using anything to fill them out. Note the word illegal. It's not doctors prescribing these... If I were you I'd have a little think about what you're writing. Also look more into your facts. I will not be replying to anymore of these.
Well there's a risk without doubt, as with everything that's made for profit - and drugs is certainly big business. People who don't want to take risks should definitely avoid non-legal drugs, agree on that. I just feel that this is a bit overrated propaganda, but well, obviously it's much safer to get a drug legally whenever possible. I don't doubt that.
(I would personally order medicine online that I couldn't get legally, but that's just me, and yeah, I'm risk-taking.)
However, imported generic drugs (from China) could have a different quality and quantity of impurities, that's true. But would you call it 'fake'? Every drug has _some_ impurities, technically there's no way of creating a drug with 100% purity.
It's the quantity that matters - minute amounts of rat poison, or any other impurity simply wouldn't do any harm. We get a poisons from our environment every day in tiny amounts. As Paracelsus said, 'the dosage makes it either a poison or a remedy'.
Hurry onward Lemmiwinks, for you will soon be dead. The journey before you may be long and filled with woe. But you must escape the gay man's ass, or your tale can't be told.
anyway even if you get meds from your chemist you dont always know they are real-there was recently something on tv where the supposedly real meds at chemists may have actually been fakes - a woman taking pills for a heart condition found out the pills prescribed her by her doctor turned out to be placebo .
id also like to add that i HAVE bought medication online and some of them are real, the taste ,smell and side effects are exactly the same as from my doctor.
though only one of the meds was probably made of sugar i believe whatever else i bought is likely real.and i bought them really cheap £4. for 30 antibiotics and £9 for 100 anxiety pills they are EXACTLY the same as what i got from my doctor-only different packaging not controlled by pfizer.
i actually have nightmares like that where im eating a live rat,or where a rat is biting my lips and tongue and eats my face! it's bloody terrifying waking up from that.
Its a good advert but IT IS ABSOLOUTLEY SICK, im 13 and i watched this in between watching scrubs and it was disgusting i felt like throwing up & ithink it should be bnned.

this ad is fucking gross. it is completely innapropriate, and made me gip when i saw it. It has almost no relevance to the topic it is trying to promote (Dont buy drugs online etc.) What does a man coughing up a rat have to do with not buying fake drugs?? they could have at least made it realistic. makes me fuckin raaage.
I wonder why the regulator of meidicines in the UK, the MHRA (Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agnency), a statutory body, has got together with a drugs company Pfizer to produce an advert that does not inform people how they can protect themselves from fake medicine on the internet. Rather than being alarmist about access to medicince which may be a potential benefit to patients, maybe the MHRA could promote safe sites like mine and keep people safe in that way.
You can guarantee non fake medicine on Internet in the UK by looking for the registered online pharmacy logo and checking the RPSGB (Royal Pharmaceutical society of GB) website or by looking for the registration of a doctor's site with the CQC (Care Quality Commission). This comment by a doctor who is setting up a consulting website where patients will not be supplied with rat poison.
This is going too far. Perfect example of giant corporations manipulating people. The generic drugs that you can order from many websites normally contain the exact same ingredients as brand medicine.

Did they not think when TV showing this, people may be eating their dinner or lunch?

1. Absolutely digesting? I presume you mean disgusting.
2. The channels running the ad are not allowed to show it before 11pm and if you're eating dinner at that time, there is something wrong.
