  • The major flaw with this tripe- and I haven’t watched it- is that if she was top Cia agent who was a paranoid schizophrenic & none of her colleagues believed her insights cos she was a paranoid schizophrenic, then why would she care that someone blew up their asses..?

It’s as if the producers think the point of the story is that she is trying to prove that she is not insane. Why should she care? the character has no credible motivation level- let alone this level of emotional intensity? Lol.

  • @LtonBuzzardWhereElse *Sigh* am I just going to have make up rules that if you haven't watched the series, you're not allowed to fucking comment. I mean seriously, why waste your time. You could be masturbating in a dark room instead of commenting on shir you haven't watched. One, the CIA doesn't know she's a schizophrenic, she's kept it under wraps since college and she controls it through medication, which she gets secretly from her sister who is physician as to keep it off the books.

  • @LtonBuzzardWhereElse Two, They do trust her insights, the issues that she encounters are political, within the CIA and the Federal Gov't, itself, dumbass. Two, you don't know WTF you're talking about when it comes to mental illness and an individual's capacity for compassion. She's not an invalid or a sociopath and she functions normally when medicated. A lot of schizophrenics do.

  • Brilliant can't wait to see episode 2

  • I love this show, I just finished watching the entire series on demand, it's the best show I've seen in the longest time since 24 went off the air! can't wait for season 2!!

  • @LundieTom I tried being nice, cocksmoker. Now, you're blocked.

  • Whats the piece of music at the start?

  • @Boabmillar07 check out two steps from hell and have some fun

  • winters... it's been 66 years and you haven't aged a bit

  • Judging by the scars on his body, he must have been 'interrogated' by the CIA!

  • So we meet again Major Winters!

  • I dont like seeing Jihadis ill-treating Major Winters

  • Damian Lewis is English!

  • @TheMikeyg0 Not exactly a newsflash.

  • One of the best series for sure. I am looking forward to season 2. Let´s see how good will be, many times is not that good as season 1.

  • One of the best series. Claire Danes showed as how great actress she is.

  • the wife is pretty .....sigh. and ive seen that episode nothing really sexy about the scene though.

  • the original is from ISRAEL!

  • Once in time, no gimmicks or no Hollywood shit. This series is just psychotic, thrilling, and twisted. Dane is just amazing in this movie. I love how she is not perfect and she has her demons. Every episode runs smoothly with out any cliche. kudos to the writers. Damon u are just a solider! love love love this show. 24 was good but it was close to the same old story, this is different and new. oh, Did anyone think that Damon is lucky that he got to hypothetically sleep with his wife and Dane.

  • one word: insanely freakin' awesome

  • This show is great. That scene in the safe room in the finale was hands down one of the most intense moments I have seen in any series ever.

  • Great show!!! Didn't love the way the season wrapped up... but great show!!!

  • I can't wait till I watch this TV show thanks man! looks good

  • A bit dissapointed especially cause she now gets treatment, and ofcourse at some point will remember that he new Abu Nasir's kid.

  • I love this show!

  • Just watched the entire season over the last week and am a little dissappointed, the show was great, the acting was awesome, the build up was really exciting and spellbinding but I was really expecting an intense climax sort of like Dexter.

  • @patkellyt1 Not that kind of show. However, if you look at it like '24' (same producers, remember) note that the the exciting climax usually happened usually 15 - 30 minutes before the final credits rolled and then there was a huge cool-down followed by some seeds planted for what to look for in the next season. That's what they did with this and not all seasons of Dexter have had that big final moment like this season and season four. Season five's ending was downright boring.

  • Started watching just to see the snatch part but got totally hooked...Propaganda's evil...This is not propaganda...this is awareness, a story about characters from both sides ...and more than that...A FUCKING KICK ASS SHOW...holy crap...i can't wait for season 2.

  • absolutely love this show- the twists and turns are amazing- not to mention Damian is yummy!

  • Looks awesome and puting two steps from hell music in it just was so perfect! love their music

  • Fucking nothing but propaganda

  • @intheshitter And you're a a fucking retard. What part of "no political commentary" don't you get, dummy? Beyond that, like most of the morons who have posted similar garbage, you've never watched the show and you have no idea what you're talking about. There's nothing propagandist about this show at all.

  • @TheTVTastic I have watched it and there is some political stands like the use of drones and the acceptence of civilian casulties and what is ok when hunting terrorists. I do like the show.

  • @TheTVTastic not if youre a fuckwit there isnt any (propaganda) - but if you know the REAL terrorists arent operating out of caves using hairpins and magnifying glasses to conduct large scale atrocities then youd say yes - this wank is propaganda

  • @tiarnan76 Obviously you haven't watched the show like the gaggle of other retards who I keep seeing a need to post and show the whole fucking world just how stupid they are. Hmmm... funny how there isn't a single scene of anyone in a cave using hairpins and magnifying glasses throughout the entire series. Well, fuck me come to think of it, the antagonists are portrayed is being highly intelligent and sophisticated. Unlike you... retard... and now, BLOCKED retard, I might add.

  • whats the theme music at the start of this trailer?

  • @rorbbrefgwgjkcfgjkgj one of them is by two steps from hell

  • @18karan thanks mate it was two steps from hell 'Protectors Of The Earth ' :)

  • good. but overrated.

  • @tentanghijau true

  • band of brothers

  • haven't watch dis yet but looks good

  • @TheTVTastic The thing is that is this series there's more psychologic stuff than 24, and as the actors are awesome, I love it!

  • @Lypno Exactly! It draws you into the narrative and you never know which way it's going to turn and despite the ignorant comments from people who haven't seen the show, it's an apolitical story. It's a character story more than anything.

  • What a great government propaganda piece the troops are terrorists distrust them

  • @CrazyBB36 That's not what the story is about but thanks for providing your completely ignorant opinion and completely violating the policy I have of "no political commentary."

  • Amazing tv series, better than 24.

  • @Lypno Certainly deeper and less absurd. Don't get me wrong, I love 24 but it's almost cartoonish at times.

  • Stockholm Syndrome.

  • @TheTriangleChoke Meh... Not quite.

  • This guy hasn't aged 1 bit from his tour in ww2

  • @sgaseca Ha Ha Ha Ha. I see what you there! LMAO

  • I love "A game of thrones", but I'm glad that "Homeland" won the Golden Globe for best drama. "Dexter" and "Californication" became dull very quickly, it's nice to see that Showtime is still capable of delivering something fresh. This somehow feels like something Sydney Pollack would have made.

  • @KaiserBecks Dexter is still very good, the problem is that it is trying to live up to the standard it set in season four which it will never be able to do. Every series has its perfect season that defines it and unfortunately when it comes in the middle of its run, it doesn't matter how good subsequent seasons are, they'll always be considered inferior to that one "magic" season. This season was brilliant for so many reasons however, like season five, is completely overshadowed by season four.

  • @yonpolite Hahaha obviously his son;)

  • watchin the 2nd episode seems pretty dull. sure theres occasional nudity but not a lot more than that. am i wasting my time?

  • @234dragoman Well, I give you the same response that I gave the last person to ask that question: There's a reason it won the Golden Globe for best drama.

  • @TheTVTastic The only memory i have from episode one is clare danes cleaning her snatch with a rag.

  • @234dragoman LMAO! Wow.. that's kinda fucked up.

  • @234dragoman You don't have a good memory ...:)

  • @LemzisMilpis ha ha nice one mate. tbh I found this show a bit dull....there is just enough gratuitous nudity to keep a fella watchin which is a bit lazy in my opinion.

  • @234dragoman Well since u are watching it for that. how about when he jerks off in front of his wife while she was topless. well this is like Episode 3.

  • NO POLITICAL COMMENTS...How these American propaganda merchants SO LOVE AND DO DEMOCRACY !

  • @anarchosolar Hey retard, democracy is a political system that allows the individual to have direct say in their government and has nothing to do with MY YouTube account. By your logic, if we truly want to practice "democracy" it's perfectly acceptable for me to go your mom's house and take a shit on her chest. Please provide an address, I'll stop by later. Democracy is a non sequitir re: my YT channel, dumbass. Take a poli sci course, moron. ME = BIG SWINGIN' DICK, YOU = NOTHING

  • This is not 24.

  • @Und3Rc0v3R Not supposed be.

  • Captain Winters !!!!

  • pathetic show.

  • @innocuoushunter <----- Yawn. You bore me.

  • @TheTVTastic your not shit haha

  • Um, did this trailer basically tell the whole story?

  • @lucasboden NOPE!!! Not even in the slightest.

  • @lucasboden Nope, not even close.

  • From Major at WW2 for the Screaming Eagles to a simple Sergeant???

That is quite a demote!!! WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU WINTERS???

  • it's a good show ! I like it and I will keep on watching it.

  • @miouth150 No problem :)

  • Looks good! And Lewis all rough, hell yeah! ;)

  • @miouth150 That's like saying someone is German but not European. Damian Lewis is English AND British, England is in Britain! Oh and Claire Danes is American anyway.

  • @samhuds248 Honesly it's the first time I hear of this, because people always identify themselves as British or Scotish ... anyway thanks for the info :)

  • seriously another show about the mean arab terorrist, isn't this shit getting a little too old

  • @miouth150 That's not what it's about, but you have my permission to continue to post ignorant shit.

  • @TheTVTastic I didn't watch the show, but that's something that you can guess from the trailer, so I don't see how my comment is "igonrant sh*t"

  • @miouth150 Your comment is is ignorant shit because you have no idea what your talking about yet you're making an assessment based on a trailer. No, "seriously another show about the mean arab terorrist, isn't this shit getting a little too old" is not something you can guess from the trailer. Even I didn't get that from the trailer the first time I saw it, so the only conclusion that can be made is that you didn't even watch the trailer.

  • @TheTVTastic why are you getting so emotional about the whole thing ?

what i got from the trailer was that it's very similar to the season 2 or 3 of 24 where they had the same plot; terrorist attack and who is with who ...

anyway that was back in 2002 so it made much sense at the time, but making (i assume) the same thing ten years after 9/11 it just looks old

  • @miouth150 I'm not emotional about it, you're just an idiot as other people have pointed out and don't know what you're talking about. You have no clue what the story is about yet you continue to comment. I thought I blocked you.

  • WINTERS A TERRORIST? Out of the question!

  • lool both lead actors are english, england is actually taking over hollywood!!!

  • @tom4cfc123 they are British not English

    btw English is a language

  • @miouth150 are you an idiot, im from England and people from England are ENGLISH

  • @tom4cfc123 you didn't have to call me an idiot, but anyway thanks for the info

  • @tom4cfc123 Yes, miouth150 is indeed an idiot on so many levels.

  • this show looks wierd, only reason i watched this is to see why it won over american horror story...?

  • @xdarlingwhore because AHS isn't nearly as good.

  • @xdarlingwhore And AHS isn't weird? Homeland is a really, really good show.

  • is this show any good? i'm looking for some fun show like dexter or walking dead

  • @vietvipp Well, it just won the Golden Globe last night for best TV drama so I'll let you do the math from there.

  • @TheTVTastic and yet the only one worth the golden globe was Game Of Thrones.

  • @exostalker Not even close. GoT is good but it's nowhere near as good as Homeland.

  • @TheTVTastic That's just your opinion.

  • @exostalker No, that's reality. Just like a rose smells a lot better than pile of shit. Not suggesting that GoT is a pile of shit but it's not in the same league as 'Homeland.' Just like 'Work It' isn't in the same league as GoT. BTW, on this channel, my opinion is the only one that matters. Again, big swinging dick.

  • @TheTVTastic Alright, fat spoiled tv fans are right I guess. Coz they think they are the only ones who know what is good and what is bad. Good.

  • @exostalker Actually, only intelligent viewers are correct, which effectively eliminates you. Also, it's the 93 members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association that determine what wins what and they have a lot more credibility than either one of us. The Golden Globes get it right far more consistently than the Oscars do.

  • @TheTVTastic heheh

  • @TheTVTastic still sucks.. xD

  • @TheTVTastic Its like the Avatar vs Oscar again. The patriotic masturbation wins against much better productions. Dont misunderstand me I dont say its not good and dont want to troll i just dont find any more reason for the winning.

  • @Qwufi Spoken like someone who hasn't watched the series.

  • @Qwufi Avatar is a complete piece of shit film that poorly rips off 'Dances With Wolves' using cartoons. Was it enjoyable in the theater? Sure. Was it a good film? Fuck, no! James Cameron is by far one of the most overrated directors in Hollywood and the dialogue that he insists on including seems like it was written by retarded monkeys.

  • @TheTVTastic I see you are an expert. :) But I cant accept your opinion. If James Cameron can make a poorly rip enjoyable than he must know something. Btw its CGI not cartoon.

  • @Qwufi You're right, I am. CGI is a cartoon. Animation is animation... period, and Avatar's looks like one big cut-scene from a video game. Why even bother with the live-action elements? I'm not taking anything away from Cameron, he knows how to make dogshit enjoyable for the masses and he knows how to make a lot of money with his shitty films. It's guys like him and Michael Bay that are responsible for better, less profitable films being made because their blockbusters fund good them.

  • @TheTVTastic Now I really dont want to nitpick here and definitely dont want to troll on your post but I have concerns about the definition:"Animation is animation" :)

But still i think if he knows how to make a not too original - even dogshit - story watchable - for masses or others - then he is talented.

Well Michael Bay is an other piece of pie. For me his career is a mistery, but its another story :)

  • great serial

  • Had no idea what it was about, then i saw Damian Lewis... WOOOOOOT really missed him since Life!

  • Wow.. this show actually looks good. It's the first time I've seen anything about it. I think I got it confused with that one cop show starring Ben McKenzie..

    Yup. I did. Southland.

Well, now I know. And I loved 24. Spiritual successor? I hope so.

  • @pseudo20 Perhaps the best response, yet. 'Spritual successor' to '24' is the perfect description for 'Homeland.' If you're looking for a juicy, guilty-pleasure knock-off of '24,' I recommend Cinemax's 'Strike Back' which is just hardcore action in the same vein.

  • In your teeth, powerfull and overwhelming America.

  • @HommePlage Ummm...yeah... sure. My official response: penis.

  • @TheTVTastic America has a big penis, but very small balls.

  • @HommePlage Which is why we also have the best porn.

  • @TheTVTastic I prefer the Asian porn. More natural.

  • @HommePlage Squeaky women and bushes that put mine to shame and everything in Japan is digitally censored. Waste of time.

  • Protecter of the earth - nice soundtrack.. <3

  • Just seen the first episode, a little slow paced but definitely well written. This could be the begining of a brilliant show, I hope. Love Damien Lewis, I liked the idea of LIfe but it didn't take off. This show looks like it is on a different level. Hope it continues...

  • @MrJulianLuthor Yep, there's a lot of set-up, character development and exposition during the first couple of episodes. It kicks into high-gear around episode four. Rest assured, 'Homeland' is Showtimes's highest rated new series ever and it was even beating 'Dexter.' Showtime loves the one-two punch of 'Dexter' and 'Homeland' on Sunday nights and it will be back next fall. Figure late September, early October. Subscribe to my blog and I'll update you regularly with all sorts of news on TV.

  • This looks pretty good, i've added it to my watch list/best series list here:

    imdb_com~list~Y81ilc3GwGI~

    (Replace _ with a .) (Replace ~ with a /)

Any other titles or series I should add and get round to watching???? running out of ideas haha

  • watching the trailer...it reminds me a bit 24..

  • @ellas4 It should, it's from the same producers. It's not nearly as fast-paced as 24 but it shares similarities. It's also not nearly as absurd as 24, either. I love 24 but the show went off the deep-end as a matter of course when it came to believability.

  • Air date of season 2 anyone? is it even renewed?

  • @xMaGiiSK It was renewed a long time ago. We did a piece on it on our blog. It was Showtime's highest rated freshman drama ever and it's beating Dexter. No official announcement on what the air date for season two will be but Showtime loves the one-two punch of Dexter followed by Homeland and have made very clear they aren't changing that for years to come (Dexter still has at least two more seasons) so expect to see it back near the end of September/beginning of October 2012.

  • Best show on right now

  • now i'm going to have to find TheTVTastic's post

  • @lobelia2 go to tv-tastic com and just do a search for Homeland. I'd post the link directly but idiotic YouTube won't let me. :)

  • TheWire-Jimmy McNulty (D.West)-English actor

    Deadwood-Al Swearengen(I.McShane)-English actor

PrisonBreak-Michael Scofield (W.Miller)-English born American actor

    FlashForward-Mark Benford( J.Fiennes)-English actor

    TrueBlood-Bill Compton (S.Moyer)- English actor

Sons of Anarchy- Jax Teller (C.Hunnam)- English actor

    GameofThrones-Ned Stark (S. Bean) - English actor

    Homeland-Nicholas Brody(D. Lewis)- English actor

Why is it that English actors get so many major roles in American shows?

  • @bohdan1648 because there ain't no money with the BBC like there is compared to Hollywood? It's called talent and if you gots it, you get hired .

  • @bohdan1648 Its called being talented.. And maybe the director wanted an English actor for a specific role?

  • Epic!!!

  • Breaking bad is better

  • @ZoxeyFTW Breaking Bad is the best show on television, this show is still great.

  • stupid show

  • @theoldrsftw unfortunately for you, EVERYONE disagrees with you.

  • I've seen Life and Band of Brothers. They both have Damian Lewis in.... ITS GOTTA BE GOOD!

  • Obama said that this is his favorite TV show along with Boardwalk Empire and Modern Family.

  • @SandmanJAAE Well, I have to give him credit for his viewing choices, no doubt.

  • @SandmanJAAE

actually, Obama has commented that The Wire is he's all time favorite show. Still, The Wire, Homeland, Boardwalk Empire, it's a pretty darn good list.

  • @Tobbhen Yep. All fantastic and it pains me to say it, I agree with ALL of his choices. The Wire, at the time, was definitely the best show on HBO and probably all of television, period. He's also a Trek fan.

  • Like ALL the Band of Brothers comments

  • capt. dick winters is back people!

  • best tv serie ever

  • He's a terrorist! uh.?

  • @kitouxxx you'll have to watch and see.

  • The brunette woman is from Firefly.

  • @pabsensi @TomHondos Yes indeed, Morena Baccarin (Also, Anna on "V") played Inara. I always love it when a show that lasted only 16 episodes and ended nine years ago keeps getting brought up. It's a testament to how much of an impact it had (we're big fans, too). BTW, she's quite nekkid in this which is another bonus.

  • @TheTVTastic all thanks to Sheldon Cooper.

  • @pabsensi From 'The Big Bang Theory?' ¿Que?

  • @TheTVTastic yes, he mentions Firefly in an episode, mocking Babylon 6 and saying Firefly would last many seasons (obviously that was a joke).

  • @pabsensi Oooooh, got it. (I think you mean Babylon 5, though)

  • @TheTVTastic yeah, that.

  • @TheTVTastic Because they looks like.

  • major winters? Im going to have to watch this

  • @markjamesnelson Indeed. Damian Lewis is great in everything he does. This is no different.

  • That is not my Homeland...

  • @SuperWackJack I have no idea what that means.

  • Das ist geil.

  • Cheesecake
