I LOVE YOUR GUINEA PIG! i might be getting one for my birthday but i have to convince my mom that they're not just 'rodents'...she cant get over that! lol but my dad's all for it:) go figure:p

my mom was the same way! my dad didnt really care either.i just reminded her that they dont have tails, she was still a little hesitant, but eventually my mom said yes.and i got to take home 2 of em from my class (we let the parents have babies for bio class)

then after a couple months, she even started to hold them (in a towel at least), and now she'll sit with them on her lap and she loves em..

so just remind her they dont have tails like most rodents..maybe show her some cute pictures?

Yep. =) My parents are usually real pet-haters too. Try taking them to the pet store and letting them hold one of them. Parents tend to get attached to things they claim they don't like pretty easily. ;)

haha actually, that's exactly how i did it to train her at first. waved a piece of lettuce over her head. but after a while like in this video, she responded to command alone.

adorable piggie, love the trick! you should give jigsaw another piggie to be with though. i've got 4 guinea pigs, two of whom i've raised. they're one big happy family, the dad the mom the brother and the sister. the boys get along with each other, ditto with the girls.

Is Jigsaw the only Guinea Pig you have? You might want to consider getting another. They are very social herd animals and enjoy a friend. See Guinealynx dot com for more info. Also, please adopt instead of buying from pet stores. The only way to stop the cycle of homeless animals in shelters is to stop buying from pet stores. go to petfinder dot com for local shelters.

well if u only have one u have to spend a lot of time with it! It is better to keep it where there are more things happening! I kept mine in my room 4 a while but i have allergies so i keep them in the hall and they are never bored!!! There is always some noise or music or talking! But they also need there peace and quiet. I have 2 and raised one myself!!! If u have one it is sooooo much easier to train them too! I have vids of my guinea Romeo on my channel or u can look up Utube's romeo
