Patrick Swayze (may he rest in peace) just came off from the box office hit Ghost so he was a big star. Keanu Reeves wasn't yet big. He came off from Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure and that year he had three movies release Point Break, Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey and My Private Idaho. His career was on the rise and it took off when he did Speed.

loved the movie, point break, and the actors in them. patrick n keanu are so humble in this interview, seem like genuine actors, not the fake hollywood-atention seeking types you see today like megan fox, who try to shock the world by saying stupid stuff/inapprioate stuff
