wtf is ur problem? diz is ah great song nd the lyrics are gud. If yuh dont like it why da fuk dont yuh go0 nd listen tuh sean paul or da rest from jamaica nd shut da fuk up if yuh have nuttin gud to say ightz

  • Please enlighten me as to what is the way to represent your culture.

  • Not limited but if you are going to represent your culture...reggae is not the way :) And the music genres I listen to are definitely diverse as well.

  • I showed this video to one of my friends...and her first words were "who is this wanna be Sean Paul?"

  • It's fine I'm enjoying the dialogue.

So are you saying Guyanese should be limited to Hindi music? I listen to rock music and I play the guitar, so does that say I shouldn't lay rock music because I might a "wanna be Metallica or Bob Marley"?

  • yuh jus hatin couz a coolie man can make reggae just as well as ne otha nigga man. Yuh should be proud sean paul is a pussyhole.

  • It's like a Guyanese person singing Bachata? Would a Guyanese person make it bigger than a Jamaican? I don't think so...Initially, Reggae came from Africa...we are Guyanese from India. Reggae is not in our culture, so going back to my comment, this is not something I would find appealing in a Guyanese man. And you are saying that more reggae should come out of Guyana, I think NOT? Again, my point of view :)

  • I'm sorry to keep draggin this...but not to say Guyanese people shouldn't be singing reggae, but I can't seem to understand why they would want to?

  • Like I was saying before, when someone sees this video, this is what they will think Guyanese guys are like, when in fact they are not (as per my brother, my father, my cousins, my uncles etc) So going back to my statement RELAX, breathe,it was MY statement and MY view on this video.

  • Sav, I'm pretty relaxed, and I appreciate your perspective; however, when you make such a generalized statement I can't help but question it as one guy does not define an entire nationality and it would be ridiculous to assume so in the first place.

  • Here's my honest critique of this video: it definitely needs some work, but it's heading in the right direction. No, Guyanese people don't speak Jamaican Creole, but reggae music does, hence the need for it. Prakz' background is in chutney music, so I applaud his effort to take his music in a new direction as I would really like to see more reggae artist coming out of Guyana.

  • Here's your straight forward answer that you are demanding. My statement, "This video reminds me why I don't date Guyanese guys" means the man portrayed in this video is somewhat degrading to the Guyanese culture, for one, we don't speak with a "Jamaican Creole" accent and two the lyrics make him sound ignorant (although he might not be).

  • Playing coy? LOL, okay Aramsahai, true it is only one Guyanese man, but it only takes one to turn the mind of others. Let's not get into an elaborate conversation about "Memories."

  • Did you not see this video?

  • I uploaded the video, of course I have.

This is one video and only one Guyanese man. You made a generalized statement against all Guyanese male of which I asked why is it you don't date Guyanese men.

Give me a straightforward answer and stop playing coy.

  • This video reminds why I don't date Guyanese guys...

  • And why is it you don't date Guyanese guys sav11882?
