I've used

Dropbox for about 6-7 months and it is always reliable. I mainly use it for my original content like what I write and my pictures, plus when wanting to transfer files from one location to another. I decided to use a service like this because my computer blew up and I lost a lot of original content. I can edit it a text file in my account then it saves to several places.

The only "Drawback" that I can see is that it takes up the same amount of space on your own hard drive too.

Actually, I have a external harddisk on which I save my documents and photo's once in a while (I don't make much photo's, and I try to edit video's as fast as possible). A netbook for school on which the same schooldocuments are as at my home PC. So I don't need it anymore. I've used a similair thing from Microsoft Office, which was in betá at that time, when I was at secundairy school (HAVO).

Dropbox is awesome. I find it more reliable then Ubuntu's Ubuntu one, project since it's cross platform. I use it all the time because i got multiple computers in the house all using different operating systems so the thought of a "home network" has sever compatibility problems.

Dropbox is a nifty little cloud app but i have some reservations about it. 1 you delete it bout its not deleted? hmmm. 2 for the coust of 50gb or even 100 why not just buy a hard drive slap it in a old box and build a ftp server. other than that drop box is wicked cool for ease of use and being available to develop around it api... i think ill open my 5th dropbox account and call it aXXo ;-)

Yes and that's exactly what I do, however it's not faster than attachments, because with attachments I can stay in gmail... Google should buy dropbox and use them for large file transfers within gmail.
