The comedic timing of everything after the boomerang was thrown was near perfect; at the end is where I was laughing the most. I can see how someone could die laughing there - maybe someone with a weak heart or something.

The important thing to remember is that humour has changed over the years. Do you find Max Miller funny these days? He was the biggest thing in his day. Sadly, I no longer find Morcambe and Wise funny any more either, I find it rather dated. But I do think that the more slapstick comedy like this continues to hold its appeal, for now.

I knew the goodies wasn't funnny but I at least thought the sketch that killed a man might be funny. I've no idea how some people in the comments seem to be swearing by how funny it is, I mean, I have a REALLY broad sense of humor but how is this funny in the slightest? This is the kind of humor I'd expect to see from a 6year olds school play, except at least then I'd laugh to spare their feelings.

@anakso At the time The Goodies was hilarious. We've just been acclimatised by 35 years of comedy progression. Similar to music. I must admit though I nearly did die laughing when I first saw the walk in the park scene from the "Kitten Kong" episode of The Goodies and that was only a couple of years ago... People forget, this was the 70s. There have been millions of absurd and surreal tv shows since then so we're used to it. But along with the Pythons these guys did it first. People had no idea what to expect.

People tend to forget the time context for when this was shown. For those who find it outdated or not funny, it's from the seventies when badly dubbed Kung Fu films were just being released for the first time ever. There was no cable nor Internet, etc.

Came here from the Wikipedia article - didn't die, didn't actually laugh once. People criticize the later Python episodes but they were 10x funnier than this. Chuckle Brothers has better writing than this.
