  • POWER,MONEY,THEN...POWER,MONEY...THE COUNTRIES WITH..POWER,MONEY..

THEY CARE LESS THAT COLOR KILLS COLOR,STRONG KILLS WEAK...THESE GOVERMENTS HAVE THE BLOOD ON THEIR HANDS.ONLY BECAUSE THE CRIES FORCED THEM TO ACT. BUT NOT TIL INNOCENT LIVES WERE MURDERED. OH BUT...

SHOULD IT BE ONE OF THEIR SONS,DAUGTERS,ETC WOW,WATCH HOW FAST THE BOMBS START FLYING. ALL HUMANS SHOULD BE FREE

  • History will repeat itself.. Thats the message of this documentary.

  • 2:18 is CRAZY

  • Thank you Christiane Amanpour and all the supporting staff at CNN for creating this series. It's sad on two fronts, firstly that the killing of so many around the world has, and will continue to occur, and secondly that so many nations with the power to do something to stop it, either do nothing or too little too late. I can understand why any nation does not want to commit it's young people to possibly die in a conflict. It takes national moral fiber & as well as personal to do the right thing

  • @bakaranger1991 , always a genocide starts out with the thought of killing all who are the target as a common motto. Let me ask this question: No matter if it is 1 or 800,001, what is the magic number before everyone can call it what it is, a genocide? The common thing that happens is that those who are doing the killing are quick to kill while those who have the power to stop it are slow to action. The UN is a toothless wonder when it comes to protecting the victums

  • @bakaranger1991 Genocide isn't measured on how many victims, its the crime itself dumbs. and hows that small? take it into this perspective, Tutsis were killed at a rate 10x the speed of the Holocaust, and they used machetes, not gas chambers. 10 000 were killed everyday, nearly 5 every minute. 1/10 of the entire population of the country was wiped out in 100 days, and 3 out of every 4 tutsis were dead, and only 300 000 Tusis survived. This was one of these worst genocides ever.

  • @DDMWS1234 Answer me this first, In my country during 1971war Pak Army killed 30,00,000 people. According to the U.N. its 12,000 a day, 60 people an hour, 1 person per minute. Yet, according to the U.N. (yes the U.N.) that is not a Genocide! Why? Please, Answer.

My relatives are among the victims. I am From Bangladesh. I don't expect you to know were it is.

Don't worry, The Pakistani army didn't shoot them.

They were feed to Dogs Alive. My Grandma still remembers that day.

  • @bakaranger1991 I do know where Bangladesh is, not stupid. You got your numbers mixed up, the death toll was estimated between 300,000 and 3 million, not 30 million thats highly unlikely in 273 days which is how long it lasted. And according to most sites it was declared a genocide. Remember the victims in Bangladesh were no more important than the Tutsis, both were slaughtered mercilessly and both were innocent. Genocide isn't measured in numbers remember that

  • @bakaranger1991 Im Not from the US, I'm from Canada, and I'm well aware of what goes on in the world, i know what genocide is. Maybe the UN, if they don't recognize it, maybe its because it didn't fit their legal definition. Idk, most people during the 70s weren't focused on Bangladesh, more attention was to Vietnam and Cambodia

  • @DDMWS1234 Because, USA was Involved. You said genocide is not measured by numbers. Then, How is it measured?

  • @bakaranger1991 Genocide is the deliberate systematic destruction in whole or in part a racial, religious, ethnic, or national group. That is how its measured, if people are being killed like this it is genocide. it might be important for you to know that Bangladesh among a few others signed the genocide act only in PROVISION that the crime of genocide could not be brought against them in the the international courts. Meaning they can't be charged for this, maybe thats why its not recognized

  • Comment removed

  • @bakaranger1991 im not saying it isn't a genocide, I'm saying the Bangladesh government is exempt from being charged with genocide, b/c they signed a document making them. Its there own fault. It was a genocide i don't deny that, its the govt

  • @DDMWS1234 Don't get me wrong. I am not blaming you. Yeah, you are right. cause, A lot has happened after the war. Specially, Military coups. Those bastards changed every thing. But now, things might change.

  • @DDMWS1234 Why did they kill tutsis? Any racial or religious reason?

  • @bakaranger1991 no there ethnic groups, ethnicity is a part of the definition of genocide. They killed them b/c the Hutu govt had seen them as a threat to there government control. there was also a long hatred agains

Tutsis, because during colonization they were made the superiors. dude u can't argue in any way that this wasn't a genocide

  • @DDMWS1234 hey hey, I am not Arguing. If I was i wouldn't have asked you so nicely. Okay. FINE. I am removing me stupid comment. But, You know how i felt. I mean, Its not all that different. We used to be "Pakis" our selves. But, We wanted freedom. And we got our freedom. But, Not exactly the way we wanted it. So, Long story short, It's sad.

  • @bakaranger1991 i know its sad, this is unfortunately the world we live in.

  • @bakaranger1991 basically they themselves exempted themselves from the crime, they would punish others for committing the crime elsewhere, but if someone were to charge them with genocide it would be illegal because those were the clauses under which they signed. So it not being recognized, (even though it is) is there own governments fault

  • human is the only animal on this planet that kills just for the the joy of killing, GOD help us all

  • @misfitt58 I think God Damn us all is more just

  • Genocide will never end. In future there will be more bastards born & they will do more destruction. This is the fate. UN & USA will as usual turn a blind eye just to save their fucking asses. May those who are in power who refused to stop the genocide die a painful death!!!

  • @kimmulakshmi why do have condemn the USA in your statement , when the USA steps into try to help we are war monger's and murder's when we don't we are "fucking asses" the people of the USA said we did not want to see our Troops done the way they where done in Somalia ever again so we said NO and our goverment heard us, why should our troops die for those that wont fight for themselves , to speak of FREEDOM is dangerous to FIGHT for it is deadly

  • @kimmulakshmi why do you condemn the USA in this matter, when we do help, we are war mongers and murderer's and when we don't we are "fucking asses" the UN said NO and if you watch its China that blocked any help to be sent not the USA, we.. our Goverment just said no, why should we , look at the way our troops where treated in Somalia wanting Freedom is Dangerous fighting for it is Deadly eveyone talks shit about the USA weather we or not

  • in the novel dune, herbert makes the distinction between human beings and human animals....the difference is that human beings think with their minds while human animals react solely on emotion, most specifically the negative and destructive emotions like hate, fear, anger and even love because these are all chaotic at their extreme.

  • 'After all, who remembers the annihilation of the Armenians today' Hitler told this before attacking Poland. Now everyone is encoureged from this statement and commiting genocide without fear.

  • Forgiveness is better than revenge i guess

  • On a more positive note Christiane is friggin HOT. I like how she dresses haha

  • they escape hell to be chained in economic slavery (aka "work)...damn u can't win in this fucking world...just can't win

  • @pocnar you just missed out on the entire point of this documentary...........more muslims than non muslims have been killed in the name of Islam (false claims...i am a muslim and the Quran explicitly condems killing innocent ppl) and yet you say these things about our prophet.......it's shameful that there are ppl like you out there......that create the atmosphere for genocide.......

  • I have watched this documentary from beginning to end. At my keyboarding weeping over the atrocities I have seen here. A very ugly education in the debasement of life around the world. I have nothing deep to say at all. Just hoping for more peace and understanding, always.

  • MEN are always hungry for power and control: "I, me, mine!!!!!!"

  • NOBODY WILL EVER LISTEN, CHRISTIANE... EVER...

  • At first, when I learned about these events, I was shocked and angry. But then afterwards, I was depressed and hurt. Now I'm afraid. Who'll be next? I just have to pray that all of us, what we are, will be safe in the least.....

  • Human is a very dangerous animal because it is the one who knows how to destroy itself.

  • @virusSOS humans are also probably the most efficient masturbators , fun fact! probably!

  • although difficult, it can be forgivable if the crime is recognized & the perpetrator apologizes to the victims' nation and family...

but in case of the Armenians, Turkey still denies its history & even continues anti-Armenian policy by keeping Armenia blockaded and spending millions of dollars on preventing genocide recognition in many countries, particularly in the US and Israel.

BTW the UK hasn't recognized the Armenian genocide either!

  • You are right. Nor does turkey accept Greek genocide. Nor do Muslims agree that Mohammad was a pedophile. Talking of UK, trust me they are the weakest people in the world. Have u seen how they appease UK Muslims. They re-elected labour party in 1946 and kicked Churchill out...speaks a lot about their culture. Welcome to Saudi Britain.

  • @hoynarnar

The english should also recognize the genocides which it perpetrated against the peoples around the world and their neighbors the Irish. I agree the ottomans (turks) are scum who have destroyed much of the Balkans and committed genocide upon the Armenians as well as many Slavic peoples.

  • what's next? where's the next genocide going to happen? what racism will fuel it?

  • the next genocide will be on the palestinians, if as ever, the world does nothing to stop it.

  • This was an astounding documentary! It really open's one's eyes. It's upsetting that nothing can be done by any one of us and it hurts even more to know that these traumatizing events still happen around the world and one's just sitting here watching it happen... I feel so helpless. I have nothing to argue about here, everything was made pretty clear in this documentary.

  • Never again are just cheap words that don't mean nothing.

  • thank you for uploading!

We, the world should bow our heads in shame. Genocide will happen time and time again, and all will look on. The world leaders past and present are reluctant to help, hey there´s nothing in it for us. Well, for example, what if the USA decides to rid itself of Irish decendants, or Britain wants to erase all Asians? It´ll probably never happen but it could. We should all remember, today it´s them, tomorrow it could be us.

  • So true. You have said the most important phrase "We should all remember, today it´s them, tomorrow it could be us." It is sad though that Darfur was forgotten in the G20 summit this time... Read the article at slashingtongue(dot)com

  • I've been studying genocide for about 3 months now and all I can is that I am super depressed about what we turn a blind eye to nearly everyday. Afterall how many times a day we honestly even think about the name: Darfur?

All I can is that this world is f****d up.

  • @Boxmanboxman The hard work of honest men is to find the way, to fight back and never let the monsters win. As a father, and as a family leader, I can see how much raising a family is a constant fight against fear, against the jealousy of others, of the feeling of being abandoned, and the acts of social predators. Fighting back the creators of genocide is the same thing. Never stop fighting back, don't let them win, or civilization disappears into oblivion, the dark ages.

  • NYSalsaholic Israel occupied the West Bank and Gaza in self defence...So what was the reason for occupying the remaining Palestine territories that belonged to the Palestinian people prior to 1964...Israel is the forth strongest country in the world that is attacking a defenceless group of people

  • Terrorist groups tell me whose the true terrorist a foreign entity that occupies a land by killing thousands, kicking over four million people out of their homes or the people of the land that are fighting against the occupation. Israel is recognized as an occupier according to the UN...Go research the meaning of an occupation

  • Gaza and the West Bank is only 10 percent of the original land and it is housing the Palestinian people that use to inhabit the whole land this is why the population has tripled...In the recent attack on Gaza over 1200 people were killed more than 400 children...This is your definition of targeting terrorist groups...Human right groups on the ground are accusing Israel of using white phosphorous on highly populated areas...go research what happens when such a chemical reacts with air

  • according to the UN an occupying nation cannot build infrastructure on an occupied land yet Israel has built a whole country...Israel has a lot to fear for her safety when house made rockets are being launched at civilians but the Palestinian people have nothing to fear of Israel which is a regional super power accused of many war crimes right. Go educated yourself before you make remarks about a particular topic

  • There is a very simple reason why the world will allow genocide to continue to exist. We don't want our soldiers dying for another country's cause. It's not that we don't believe genocide is evil, but what do you say to the parents of a dead soldier who died for defending another country that had nothing to with his home country. If you don't believe just read about Black Hawk Down in Somalia. As Christiane Amanpour stated, "Politics trumps principle."

  • you say to the family that the person died upholding humanity. can you imagine if America went into a racial war and all the anglo saxons were to be eradicated, and no-one came to help them......right now there are soldiers dying in Iraq fighting a war about greed and oil, what does the american government say to the families of those dead soldiers?

  • You fail to see my point. Why do soldiers volunteer to join the military, to serve THEIR country of course. If you truly want to solve the problem, create a seperate entity from the military where people join solely to defend humanity and not a country.

Imagine if you had a child who joined the military because of the aftermath of 9/11 and wanted to serve America. Now that child is sent to Darfur and killed. Would you not feel bitter towards the politicians that misused his patriotism?

  • I don't see how people can do such ghastly things... toucher, rape, molesting, and slaughtering. Why is it that no one ever learns from what happened in the past. When people such as our selves see these things on T.V. its like no one cares we ignore it to much. So when it happens to us and we cry for help it makes me wonder is the world going to listen to us or are we going to be shunned away like past genocide occurrences that had happened. What has the world become?

  • That man who killed 5 people seems jaded about the whole thing. Like he doesn't care.

  • Again, thanks so much for posting this. I wish CNN would show it more.

  • It's not a surprise but still ridiculous and sad that nothing is mentioned about the genocide that Israel is committing and has been doing so for 60 years, while most of this has been going on. Typical that CNN and Amanpour would say nothing about it. I don't know how Amanpour can be happy and proud of herself for being bias like this.

  • Pure propaganda!!! The number of Palestinian Arabs killed by other Palestinians, in Jordan, or in battles between Arabs in Lebanon is much higher than the number killed by Israel.

The majority of Arabs killed by Israel are members of terrorist organizations such as Hamas or Islamic Jihad; in a fight against terrorism against innocent civilians.

Since Israel conquered Gaza and the West Bank in a defensive war, the number of Arabs living there tripled!! How is that a genocide??????

  • Stalin killed 60 million people!!! F..k freak,

and nothing about it does not say.

  • THANK YOU FOR UPLOADING THIS VIDEO

  • Thank you for posting this, more people need to see and get involved.

  • Much gratitude for getting these videos up. They need to be seen.

It's difficult not to be cynical, hopeless and jaded about the world, our governments and humanity, when such unchecked cruelty exists (and seems to repeat itself every number of years).

But let the Romeo Dallaires and other countless individuals who have stood up in the face of international ignorance, empower and move you to make a difference.
