I'm back again. I have just returned from a 6 week surfing surfari around the world, England, France, Italy, Hawaii, thanks to huey for the waves. No agro from any crowds just a love of the ocean, surfing and boards. Lots of women enjoying the surf, lots of guys enjoying the women. Nice to see the Duke in Hawaii. Thank you to all those who didn't drop in and those who shared the surf with me. Respect each other and the ocean, the best surfer is the one with the biggest smile, Linton.
A great version of this theme......from a legendary, hallmark film, which set the tone for the Summer of 1966 and summers to follow......I worked at the beach in 1966 and was Merchant Marine sailor in 1967, so the film and the these are indellible and very relevant........made numerous trips in subsequent years to and along surfing spots like South Padre Island.
Ah those simple old times. Staring at these pictures for hours and getting stoked before going out. Love for each other, in, and out of the water. Thanks for that!!!
A year has past and I'm still coming back for a shot of cool sounds and music. I surfed the other day, 3 foot sliders with a great crowd, it lasted for 6 hours. Thanks again for the vid, anymore coming??. Linton.
A beautiful rendition of the Sandals' "Endless Summer", combined with a fantastic collage of nostalgic footage. Superb job, man. But where is Rat Fink and Mr Gasser ?
Yep - I cannot but agree with you all, in your comments that go before mine. A lovely interpretations of the "Endless Summer" theme, by the way. Great footage, too - but WHERE is Rat Fink & Mr Gasser !!
Thanks mate for the work you put into this clip. Just got home from a stressful day at work and this clip reminded me of those days when you didn't work! I still surf today on board designs from back then and new ones and still check the girls out. To surf is to live see you all out there one day and don't drop in, respect the ocean and others. Linton.
I am only 36 years old but have to say I wish I could of been around back then. The vibe just seemed so pure and laid back. And I don't know if it's just me but the women back then were way hotter than now. They matched how I described the vibe of the time. And of course you can't beat au natural! I dunno you see picks of girls now and their all sticking out their pierced tounges and throwing up wanna be "gang signs".
It was a great time. Most songs were surf or car songs. Vietnam was not a household word yet. The girls were great and more girl like. I married one that I wouldn't trade for any girl today. I have no issue with todays females. Although they are going regret all those tatoos later in life went the wrinkles set in.
Do you have any clips with Mike Haley the 1960 Surf Champion( Huntington, CA.) Good friend of mine, R.I.P Mike
