OK, this is lame.. Sorry, but you need to be thinking "WheelStandPro" when you make your stands. Like any other stand, size mathers and the smaller it is- the better. This thing is just huge ,dude! You might have a humongous house which to house thins beast, but I cant fit it anywhere.

looks like it would slide on the carpet too easily, what i would do is buy 4q-in screws and buy 4 chair knobs from a hardware store, or department in Wal-mart and screw them into the 4 corners of the bottom of the wheel stand, other than that it looks rather sturdy.

wow failiure you guys do realize when the force feedback comes on its going to rip the whole stand all over the place i had a huge wooden table and that still wobbled with force feedback on 5. I now have a huge " L " shaped stainless steel table with 2 sets of cross braces and it works fine now. That table that guy had there needs some new designing because its going to slide everywhere just take my advice i know. I also had to tape my pedals to the floor because they would slide everywhere.

@hyper. I am not Ripping People OFF!! I take it you don't want to pay for anyone making you dinner at a restaurant either. People get paid for what people cant or don't want to do themselves. I use my time and effort coming up with a solution. I make these by hand by myself in my garage. I have sold over 1000 of them all built by hand by me without anyone telling me it is too much. The first 100 or so were only on ebay and people bid up to $80 to $90. I have a waiting List Now FYI!

personally i thought it was for old women drivers , the wrists have to be just over the wheel to be in a good position which means the pedals will be too far or not comfortable (my opionion)

It appears on the video that it slides but i am actually lifting it ever so slightly to move it. "scratching" a wood floor is a big question as well so I have suggested a few different things you can get at any Home depot or Target. Like the shelf Grip looks like webbing. I have also had people get little rubber feet, also available at HD,I cant make a standard skid free solution due to the fact that I have sold so many and a lot of peoples surfaces are different.

Actually it is very stable. I have use it before in a pinch as a step stool standing on it to reach my ceiling in my basement when I was too lazy to go get the ladder.

Yes you can Adjust the height. Not on the fly but if your couch is lower or higher than the preset setting you can move the hinge to get the proper height. I measured over 30couches while designing this and came up with what is a good happy medium for the majority of all the couches I measured.
