I am not familiar with the Quran and I agree we should not judge Islam based on extremists alone, but the silence of the rest of the Muslims does not help your cause. Only active opposition to war and terrorism will convince the world you are peace-loving people. Anything short of that and extremists will be the face of Islam to the rest of the world.

Most people aren't familiar with the Qu'ran and that adds to a lot of confusion amongst people, particularly apologists for Islam, about what is going on in the Middle East. I'm not saying that all Muslims are warped and crazy, to the contrary, but it's very easy to take a culture of hatred and martyrdom from the Qu'ran. Other Muslims do not speak out because the Qu'ran calls for unity amongst Muslims.

Every Mosque must teach Nazi-intolerance of all Christians and Jews. The Qur'an says that all of the prophets were Muslims, and not Jewish. "Respecting" Jesus and moses is just respecting more "Muslims" and not considered pro-Jewish in any way.
