Yeah, first off, Eid is nothing to do with Christmas, and therefore it's not their version "XMAS" It's just a different celebration entirely.

And also, it's not all Asians who celebrate Eid. I think you'll find they are called Muslims, who can be of any race.

Muslims don't get a day off on Eid. If they want a day off they need to take it out of their own holiday package. It's just that Christian holidays tend to coincide national holidays in the UK because the UK is historically a Christian country so has a Christian calendar in place - if you want that to change then the UK will need to be secular and loose all Christian traditions - that would be a cultural loss.

Also just to answer your question, they get days off and non-Muslims don't simply because they don't celebrate it.

And if you're gonna say "but they get Xmas off and they don't celebrate that" well it's a national school holiday, like the other half term holidays. So of course they get them days off too.

Christmas is seen as a universal holiday since education usually has an end of term there, so yes, they should get to stay off. And they're "holidays" actually involve praying or fasting or doing something religious rather than just giving each other presents and having a hissy fit if you didn't get the game you wanted. so hush, racist.

You do realise that (and I know this is still a conspiracy theory but I believe it) Christmas was stolen from Pagan festivals which pre-dated jesus, so saying it should belong to Christians is selfish and ignorant. And you still haven't answered to the fact that Christmas is a universal holiday so even if they don't celebrate it they still stay off school / college / work (sometimes).

And just as a final point, you hate a religion because they get more "time off" than yours? How ignorant.
