I think I was at this show! Was this the show that was at the House Of Blues in Hollywood, California for Cliff? The performance was absoloutely stunning!
I'm glad to see vai using the legacy 1's still, probably Fargen modded PT's also I didn't like the look of the 2's. Also I want an axe-fx...damn you Vai for having shiny things that I want =P.
@cowcrusher does he ever use the legacy 2's? i was planning on getting a legacy 2 because he was talking about not being able to get that middle ground between high gain and clean without the 3rd channel. now i might just save $300 and buy a legacy 1.
@rickyjshiznit I think i've seen him use them once. I just use a booster pedal and there middle ground. I see no point really. Having a mercury tranny in it is the nicest part and also midi switching if you need that. Personally legacy 1, maybe a PT upgrade, I'm getting a Ben Fargen mod Ben says he uses and a good booster pedal. Vai uses the legacy but he use to use a keeley ts9ds flexi and a ds-1 seeing eye. I love both but also love the Suhr Shiba drive over my legacy.
Been there, saw it, loved it, contacted Dave for a few lessons...what a gracious guy. I used to forget to write him a check after almost every damn lesson. ;P Dave is a great teacher...I still apply the lessons he set me up on. ( o }===:::
