THANK YOU for posting this! Haven´t heard it ever before! There seems to have been a close association between Hank and Moon Mullican - this song, Cherokee Boogie, aso. Story has it that Jambalaya was co-authored by Hank and Moon on the back of a restaurant bill - can anyone confirm? Anyway, there´ll never be another Hank, he´ll live forever in our ears!
i should get with the times and stop buying cds, but i just bought the new hank collection from the mother's best flour shows, and this wasn't on it! painful and silly, but as long as you keep posting i'll be tuning in! thanks!
Hank claimed his two musical idols were Roy Acuff and Ernest Tubb. Boy, the ET influence sure shines through on this one. Thanks for posting this jewel.
Hank and Moon Mulligan were two originals. Great song writers and performers. They brought cajun music to the mainstream. I would have loved to seen a duet by them. They were friends and sometimes shared ideas for songs. They don't make like these two anymore.
Willie Nelson, Tom Petty, Bob Dillan, Eric Clapton, Paul Mcartney, to name a few. We can only hope english, at least, is the second language by then; that is if America even exists. At the rate it is going friend, we will all be but a memory!
we may or may not be here, but if we are Hank Williams will still be known, your list as lame as they are will be a distant memory to a few at best...I have no talent but can fart better sounds than that Dillon drugie
I'm 16 and I think Hank's the greatest!-Best songwriter w/ timeless music. Thanks Hank!

When I came to the states from Scotland in 1961 I lived with a family from Alabama.
All they talked about was Hank. I grew to
know and love his music. He is what Country Music is all about. RIP Hank.
LadODell 2 years ago 7
They had good taste! Where did you stay in Alabama?
SouthernBelleSmiles 2 years ago 4
The family were actually Texicans but for a time they (and I) lived in Bay Minette.
Back then it wasn't very big, now it's a good sized town. It's between inter
state 65 and the Fla. border. We ended
up moving back to Texas just before
I started High School. So I was in
Alabama about 2 years. It was my
first home here in the States.
LadODell 2 years ago 2
how did you end up with the texicans?
mancheromanchero 2 years ago
After my parents were killed I was rushed out of Ireland by friends of my family. They got me to the US where I was met
by other friends. They were originally Texicans but had moved to Alabama.
Things didn't go well for them there so
they returned to their home state.

To me Hank is the undeniable king of country music.
