  • Well to tell you the truth FF is harder to handle on touge than FR. Cause of understeer. I think the reason you say this comment cause you are a proser and you are a fanboy not a real racer. I drive many FR,FF, and MR car they all have their weaknesses so please don't post dumb comment thank you.

  • lol harder to handle? you use traction control? im yet to drive a mr car, but fr is far more challenging than ff when you run the car hard. there are times when the over steer can be very dangerous and even life threatening. even pro drivers in japan often spin out on touge driving their high horsepower output fr cars and of course

  • what happens when you drive FF to it's limit and you get understeer? you have nothing to get you out of it like FR, right? that's all i'm gonna say.

  • you just brake to the limit then. maybe half your car will be off the road if its THAT to the limit but you wont spin out unless your doing shitty driving and shitty driving is not driving the car hard

  • Ya you are correct. I mean sometime you can get yourself out of understeer, but that rarely happen. For FR most of the time you will be able to countersteer and correct your mistake.

  • I can't believe you asking me if i use traction control. I will use traction control if I drive a formula 1 car. WHy? because traction control on formula 1 car does help when you are racing, but I don't think you know the difference between f1 car traction control and standard car traction control. Plus you say FR is harder to handle than FF? Then how come FR almost all the time win on the touge and the track? I think you just a fanboy you don't know what you are talking about. do u have a car?

  • i asked if you use traction control on fr cars cause you say ff is harder to handle on touge. I highly doubt you drive an f1 car so dont even talk about it. i own a modified 240 and I have driven my friends SC'd rsx-s on gmr many times. FF more braking but far more predictable than my 240 on touge. I never spun out on that rsx but many times on my 240. I dont canyon run anymore it was a past time. I occasionally go to buttonwillow but track and touge are different so i wont speak on that behalf.

  • Maybe you just don't know how to drive your 240. Because I have many people who driven the 240 and they never spun out unless they try to do something really stupid. Well learn how to countersteer and you might be able to prevent yourself from doing a 180. Anyway I have no right to judge how you drive your car I am sorry if I offened you in anyway. But in my experience of watching other people and driven fr,ff, and mr like i said again they all have their weaknesses.

  • Plus, many people who are grip driving always think drift is just something that for show and excite the crowd, but if you learn how to drift it will help you drive fr and MR more effectively because you can use drift to correct your mistake. A lot people who are grip racing on local mountain said drift is for excitement only. They are wrong; the only reason they said that because they don't know how. I mean almost all of the best drivers in the world know how to drift.

  • exactly canyon hairpins can be really sharp. I do somewhat of a late breaking and turn in to the inside lane but sometimes my front wheel taps the dirt in the inside of the road. I have open diff so it hard to keep the slide cause alot of those hairpins are blind and some are longer than they seem. GMR is a long road. I cant memorize every turn. Other times just turning into fast. Fr is a better layout but I don't believe its the easier one to drive.

  • ALso depends in who we are talking to. Not everyone are PRO drivers. Also car setup. Me not having a lsd , I am more prone to fish tail. but if you think a good fr driver comes out of those hairpins with a perfect slide everytime. then shouldn't a good ff driver adjust the understeer ability of the their ff car. setting the difficulty of driving both layouts at the same level? well thats not what I think. therefore I say fr is harder.

  • I know all cars have weaknesses, but just my opinion ff is harder to drive cause it cannot go over the limit like fr. I mean fr will outbeat ff in corners. If you take out the best ff and the best fr and let them goes against each other you know who will come out the winner.

I am talking about what is easier to drive. please don't argue when you don't have experience and go on arguing on what you saw how other people drive. when you see other people drive and they drive better on fr than ff. that doesnt mean they think fr is easier.

  • I have minimal mods such as suspension and in/outer tie. I occasionaly go to buttonwillow and have passed s2ks, modified civics, mustang gts, z4s. As much as I like to say my car is stock the potential of my car with suspension sure doesn't say so. By no means im saying my car is faster cause driving experience of all levels go to track days. But dont bring the word ricer up along with fanboy cause it seems like your the one who fall in that category.

  • I actually wish I had some footage because it brings back memories. But back then I really didnt care. I just wanted to get to the mts with friends and just chase each other.

  • Since you said you can't memeorize every turn of gmr. That probably the reason why you think ff is easier to handle than fr. My advice to you is to memorize the road if you really want to test yourself see how fast you can go. Because there is no way you can beat anyone up there if you cannot memorize the corners unless they are new at the mountain.

  • I know alot of gmr but not every turn but i driven gmr with both ff and fr with the same knowledge of the mountain. maybe when i said ff is easier to drive than fr it was a bit exaggerated. ff is slightly easier. but lets just keep it at that. I dont want to argue with someone who is talking based on what they have seen.

    FR Cars have the advantage on these roads kid.

    Horizontal G forces increase the Grip of the Rear Tires.

    FF Cars have a poor sense of balance, and can't brake as well as FR's, Nor exit a corner as fast as FR's.
