You are not the only one. The economy makes it even worse but I am a humble person. I cant follow people God is my provider. I am actually writing a book entitled "people are People" which goes into some of the stuff thst you are talking about.
People have lost there love for life like its all over. I need to see more smiles out there. We need to stop pushing this lack luster feel. Everybody is so upset. Whatever happened to "Ups n downs" its not forever. Whats the deal?
I thought i was the only person that thought that! Yes there is something wrong with everyone, like you said this year for me has been completely different than last year...everyone is depressed.
I have noticed that people are a bit on edge...but not too bad. You live in NY so I'm sure it's totally different than here in SC. Maybe it's that southern charm thing, but the customer service here has been better actually. I think the people here are learning that they have to work a little harder for a buck, it's not just going to be handed to them as easily.
Your true, but it comes from a feeling of being screwd over.
Her you get the banks fucking the financial system, they get bail out without any punishment. Still the working people get punished by losing jobs and a lausy economy. So those with fat bank accounts can screw up over and over without consequences. Those with a piggy bank carry the bill. The feeling of injustice is a result of this.
So people get grumpy, I can understand peoples feelings.
hey tonya! so i went outside and i sitting ther on the porch was a small box that had been smooshed and torn than taped with , it looked like a wadded up piece of trash well come to find out it was my SHEA BUTTER that i had ordered on november 7th! damn post office they treat packages with out care, anyway the cap was off the shea butter but luckly its not dried out its good to go and i have started using it on my skin hope i get good results. thanks again
Excuse me? The post office destroyed your box and made it look like garbage? You never signed for it? Its broken? My goodness!!! Um, please lets file a claim and make them buy you a new one. Contact me on the site email.
Yes there is a great spiritual dirt; can you identify it? I have! You know come to think of it I just got a package valued at about $100.00 and I don't know who delivered it but the deliverer just set the package outside. I thought some one might have had to sign somewhere but no my stuff was just setting outside. I never thought about this much before I decided to respond to your video but that was terrible costumer service the way my package was just left outside.
Hey it's not Low in China they are spending spending spending!.....And Last year this time I didn't have a job and Now i have two jobs..... so it's better for me but for every person it gets better 4 I can name three people that got Fired or lay'd off
Well, what can one do? Obviously, verybody needs and more often WANTS money. And then they spend a lot of time dealing with it.
Next thing you know, melted coins and cash paste start running in our veins, with an overdose on fear. Nobody wants to just survive, because there are riches beyond the free treats.
That's why the majority paid with credit, delayed their payments, and recently began living in a rut. Thus, falling from grace. Or lack there of, I guess.
It's definitely not you. It's the nature of this environment and our society. When the economy is bad, we do bad financially, and that makes us all feel bad.
I think the big question is how long until things get better???
It's Wall Street! They stop at nothing to turn a profit. They have no connection/interest in sharing THEIR wealth on Main Street.
I STOPPED trusting the "Wall Flowers on Wall Street" a few years ago.....and NEVER looked back.
It's even HARDER for me to trust guys in Bussiness Suits (as one guy - in a Bussiness Suit - showed up at MY job......telling ME I cannot work there anymore).
NEVER Trust Wall Street! When they close up - 1,000's STILL loose jobs.
2. It's not people pertpetuating the problem. China bought American debt (over 40%). In other words it's going to get worse. Watch for inflation. Scary.
The change in economy is because people spread fear in people. Making people fear they make lose their job or unable to find them. At this point most employer would add on more work and payless new employee or down side. Because of this fear, people not willing to give. So, the new survive is to only think of self not on other or helping one another. Fear hurt us all. Greed distory us all.
Everyone must try remain positive and live a happy life. Don't let other bring you down.
I live in Upper penn of MI and here the same thing is going on! Even people from a collection agency is wacko..telling me that shes a single mom and she could pay this bill..im like..well thats your lifestyle, mine is different! lol Wow the nerve of her! My 12 yr old cousin is worried about money just as much as adults I know...its scary how things are! We need more positive in our lives I think.
It is a wake up call. So many are defined by being employed by someone else, and how much that someone pays them..It is a shame how our worth or our ability to be human to another human is wrapped up in "The Economy" and "These hard Economic Times" We need to get a clue...And more than that We need to get some Knowlege of Self.
i can certainly feel the difference---things are really hard VERY HARD things have changed even the schools govts are lacking money i work in a ministry we are feeling the lack of money and ppl are more on edge it is tru--i wish i cud wave a magic wand and make this entire thing disappear--it really is funking up the place.
You're blessed and I"m blessed b/c these "hard economic times" rn't affecting us the way it does other folks. I know ppl who are unemployed & no jobs r in sight. I know of a father who had to leave town 2 move back 2 his family home b/c he had no job. Of course he had 2 leave his young daughter w/ his ex.
I was unemployed in 2001 & it is demoralizing 4 ppl. Of course businesses are stingy; fewer ppl can afford anything.
U experience poor customer serivce, while others don't even shop.
yes! i totally get this vibe from establishments these days... Here on the island we have been having alot of conferences and things people can attend to talk about making ur life better, being happy, and so forth... Hopefully things aren't as bad as they seem.
My theory is that the economy is forcing ppl to cut back on their spending. They are forced to decide what is necessary vs what is unneccesary. We are so used to our toys that when we can't buy what makes us happy, we pout. I believe this economy is forcing the distractions out of the way, and leaves us with just us. That alone makes ppl uncomfy, esp when they don't like what they see.
We need working getting good wages and spending it on our economy. We buy and support a lot of overseas products yet none really made by workers here. Even though we have a large immigrant population most of the money is sent to their countries to help out the families. Greed and not willing to share prosperity with American workers, more management that just went along with the same old think and didn't stay ahead of the game got us in this position.
Well Post Office is in deep deep debt. Everyone is a panic I hate to scare anyone it is really bad we the US is borrowing money to keep us going to hold us together. There is a possibility of a major layoff at the post office and also no service for Saturdays. Most of the business we send overseas and they are getting the jobs and the owners are rich. Any money they are making overseas are not being spent here by workers. How much can one millionaire spend to me the economy recover??
i thought it was just me! i see it too,its like theres a spell of madness going around. especially in the more well to do sectors. people have an attitude of "dont giva damness" about them. and yeah every business with the exception of chinese joints the customer service skills is all but nonexistant.
TONYA, YES YES YES, I had to call and complain about the customer service at my doctor's office. Can you believe it , the doctor's office. I wasn't in a place where I could give date of birth, the lady asked me this snooty voice, Well how am I suppose to find you. The worse is she isn't the only one with I don't care attitude there. It is a stark difference from the doctor's office I knew....I've been taking it for month but that was the final straw
I see a lot of my friends feeling it, and I know in my own family we cut back on things we shouldn't, but we've been blessed and it's all working out. That's the best I can hope for everyone, that it all works out.
It's not just you. I can feel it in the air too. There was a reason they called it The Great Depression. America is sick and it looks like it will stay sick for a long time. IMHO.
One trillion + dollars spent each year by corporations and government, advertising the propaganda of how to think and act like an unsatisfied, unfulfilled consumer, twice as much as is spent on health care, and many times more than is expended on supporting a healthy creative outlook of living in a safe, sustainable, positive world.
One who seeks a healthy reality allows that hope leads the spirit trust leads the heart reason leads the mind action leads the body while evidence draws the being.
If you want to blame someone rightfully, blame government.
With the USA's GDP at 12.5 trillion, but with...
-12 trillion national debt
-14 trillion in Social Security
-73 trillion in medicare
And oh yeah...
-106 trillion in unfunded liabilities People are working themselves sick to try to keep up with government spending, since they're at gunpoint forced to pay the income tax.
The mood in this country is not in its best shape.
Hey Tonya and yes EVERYWHERE I turn there is so much negativity so I have stop turning! I have cut off any and all that is trying to bringing me down from where I should be, but I am keeping positive, starting with my attitude as a whole.
hey tonya baby i miss u on her i got u on da twitter n facebook but miss the good videos...it's me enesis i'ma buy some of ur shea butter i rather support a blk women yes!!!!!!!!! love u chow...
We are in this together girl !! Even when your down you are still strong! I dont believe in celebs dieing at any faster rate then anyone else. They are just human too . Their time had come.....
It's always been like that. In Southern California, pubic service has been mestizos, and they have almost always been rude for the most part. I got better public service in Japan even though their society is not open to foreigners (especially Blacks), and I must say that I appreciated it. It's only gonna get worse, and more and more racism will be coming out. Let's learn to defend ourselves, Black People.
I agree. People should divorce themselves from people, places, philosophies, and things that cause negativity in their lives. We must analyse our situations and positions and try to seek the best course of action.
Bubba, I hear you, which is why I STOPPED using UPS, Now Fedex has gone crazy... what am I to do? I have to use a shipper... the Postal Service are the inventors of RUDE so I have no company to turn to. It is a big 3 monopoly.
I think we shan't be pessimistic. Let's know that it will get better and that people will somehow start to become kinder to one another and that will become the reality.
well japan isn't so open I lived there for a bit, but trust me on this. Black people in Japan doesn't nearly have it as tough as other asians. Especially if you're American.
I agree to an extent but I also disagree. Personally, I'd advise Blacks to avoid Japan; especially if they like getting some (and don't like to watch everyone else have the time of their lives when they can't). The Japanese have a right to like what they like though, and out of respect for them and most importantly myself, i preach separation.
This has been going on for the longest..I stay in Kansas City so even before the economy peoples attitudes were funky. Ecomony issues started over a year ago
Tonya, your niece is very smart and hopefully she takes that attitude into her adulthood. Overconsumption in spending has occurred for too long and now we are suffering the consequences. We are suffering now because people were spending and borrowing like money doesn't have a limit.
Tonya, I was distracted at work while listening to your video. As a result I missed certain segments causing me to get the wrong idea. Sorry about that.
USPS sucks as a postal service sometimes. I had a mail carrier take it upon himself to marked where I live as vacant. I bought two things and I never received them. I asked this guy why he did that. I have been getting mail here for 1 year. He said he thought it was vacant. Why didn't he knock on the door to confirm this? BS. When you call they act like nothing is their fault. I order manga from Japan. I had been getting packages and all of sudden, where I live is vacant? I was so angry.
hey tonya love the videos keep them rolling! lol. i feel it is the satanic spirit that most people out here adopt. it's easier to join the in-crowd. i am from a smaller city(St. Louis Mo.) and moved to chicago and i see the spirit. i just pray for people and continue to better myself from the inner me to the outer. i pray that God helps you to find true peace in this tornado we live in much agape' love sista
A lot of people say that education is a privilege. If that's the case...I hate to have to take care of the future generation. :( America's educational-financial gap is getting so much wider. *sigh* And it's true that there is free money out there. It's just difficult to get to it.
the only thing i have noticed is that things do seem kinda "budget friendly".....maybe thats a good thing....but i have always been very budget conscious....i really do hope things pan out and soon....it could be a whole lot worse.....feel better Tonya and i'm looking forward to placing my order on your website.....once things are straight on my end again....have a wonderful day!!
I havent noticed so much that ppl are in such a funk but then again maybe i dont attract those type of people around me.
There are so many ppl prospering in this economy though we should always be watching our wallets and making sure we can take care of our bills and have a lil sum left over for the frills.
Yes, please tell your niece that there is always money. It's out there.
Girl, ppl are catching the "economy" blues faster and harder than the H1N1. Ppl don't know what 2 do. It's something when the blinders get snatched off your eyes. Some folks were in these predicaments b4 all of this but now they can't fake it. Livin' within means, sacrificing, and saving were in ppl vocab. Just goes to show u where ppl really stand (stood) on "faith". We were too dependant and put our trust on something that wasn't promised: a job. C not all bums and poor are lazy.
I with agree the customers service. I hate UPS I spent over $40.00 to ship a packagae priority, and it still took over 2 week to get there. Plus the tracking code that they gave me never worked, so I personally believe that they did not ship it out, when I origianlly brought it in. Overall I believe people are just frustrated, people say money cant buy you happiness, but it sure does make the world easier when you have. I think it is getting worse cause the holidays are around the corner!
yes i think it is lately alot of ppl have attitude i mean i know ur mad about losing jobs and money but wow dont take it out on me when am trying to be nice or yet help you out
I live on the east coast (MD/DC area) and I haven't noticed this! Everyone seems about the same...at my school, in the stores, I see cheerful people all around me in customer service. Just being totally honest. But of course there will be those few people with their stank ass attitudes in every field , no matter how the economy is.
but i feel thats new york, new york alway act like that lol, im from new york at the bronx so i know what im talking about, but i do see people looking kid of down. even me i got lay off and x-mas is coming soon
It is definitely apparent that the economy has an effect on us all. I do however think it is ignorant people that let something so miniscule like money influence their disposition negatively. BTW Please do more Vids I miss your daily vlogs !!!
It's the economy. And apparently, 2010 is about to be a BEAST in not a great way. When people can't find better jobs it lowers the spirits. If you can't attain wealth, you lose a sense of sef worth. You begin to question the meaning of life and so forth. The American dream is built around owning this and buying that. When that dream is deferred, people's positivity goes out the window. It's tough.
sadly in AMerica people value their worth in rather or not they have a job. I think that's a ridiculious. GEtting a job is important if you are starting a career and needing to support yourself, but I hope young people don't take what the baby boomers say about thoe who can't find work. Trust me it isn't anything positive. I think that negativity has to go, and maybe we will realize our job does not equate into our life. end the cycle of wage slavery.
I see what you are saying. That was basically the point I was making as well. America has an interesting dichotomy where we tell each other that happiness and love should be all we concern ourselves with yet we are a country full of consumption and equating happiness to our careers and how much we attain. So when you have an economic breakdown, because we place such emphasis on the material things and working, people literally breakdown emotionally and negativity festers.
OH HELLL YEAH, what youre witnessing is real. It aint just you sis..lol. Not to worry..everything you have described I see it everyday.(sigh)..Anyway, all we can do is stay prayed up and make the best of what we have..
yes i see the same thing...people seem rude..i dont know wht is going on just rude

It's only gonna get worse, and more and more racism will be coming out. Let's learn to defend ourselves, Black People.

All you can do is not patronize businesses where its employees do not treat you with respect.

I'm not pessimistic; I'm realistic.

well japan isn't so open I lived there for a bit, but trust me on this. Black people in Japan doesn't nearly have it as tough as other asians. Especially if you're American.
lordblazer 2 years ago
I agree to an extent but I also disagree. Personally, I'd advise Blacks to avoid Japan; especially if they like getting some (and don't like to watch everyone else have the time of their lives when they can't). The Japanese have a right to like what they like though, and out of respect for them and most importantly myself, i preach separation.

Hey, Tonya,
Girl, ppl are catching the "economy" blues faster and harder than the H1N1.

I live on the east coast (MD/DC area) and I haven't noticed this! Everyone seems about the same...at my school, in the stores, I see cheerful people all around me in customer service. Just being totally honest. But of course there will be those few people with their stank ass attitudes in every field , no matter how the economy is.

It is definitely apparent that the economy has an effect on us all. I do however think it is ignorant people that let something so miniscule like money influence their disposition negatively. BTW Please do more Vids I miss your daily vlogs !!!

trili69 2 years ago

I think that negativity has to go, and maybe we will realize our job does not equate into our life. end the cycle of wage slavery.
lordblazer 2 years ago
I see what you are saying. That was basically the point I was making as well. America has an interesting dichotomy where we tell each other that happiness and love should be all we concern ourselves with yet we are a country full of consumption and equating happiness to our careers and how much we attain. So when you have an economic breakdown, because we place such emphasis on the material things and working, people literally breakdown emotionally and negativity festers.
NvrSettle 2 years ago
OH HELLL YEAH, what youre witnessing is real. It aint just you sis..lol. Not to worry..everything you have described I see it everyday.(sigh)..Anyway, all we can do is stay prayed up and make the best of what we have..
