This is a little late, but good job bro. Dude I have been hunting for 8 years now and I can count on one hand how many deer I have killed with my bow. I rifle hunt to, but never shoot a deer with it. I hunt public land too, so I know how hard it is to kill deer, let alone see one. Don't let nobody discourge you about the size. If you hadn't shot that deer, I guarantee somebody else would have. Meat is meat right.!!!!

@mossyo92 What I am shooting is a 07 Elite Synergy. Hell of a shooting bow. Of course its loud because the camera is mounted to the bow. It has a MeanV string stopper. cat whiskers. its very modern I promise. Im gla you and your father have land an can manage it. I hope one day to have the same, but for now a great coworker is letting me hunt on his 500+ acres. And im doing well there smacking the does!

Meat on the table.  My buddy shot two this past season and they're the best tasting. You take what you can get in my opinion. We're hunters. Just like wolves, sometimes we take the little ones out cause that is what presents itself. Something has to die so I can live.

what kind of sportsman shoots fawns. public land is just as good as private during bow season if not better, but nice job videoing and nice shot

@aanschutz24, One thats hunting for meat. You can't eat antlers. I am not a "sportsman", thats a politicians word. I am a hunter. I already took another yearling this year, one of the two shots given to me, I only had three days to bow hunt, so I took what was given to me. And boy, they taste much better then a buck in rut! Not all public land is created equal. But thanks for the commment.

@FallVitals keep shooting every fawn and doe you see and then dont bitch about how there is no deer. Evenyone wonders why there are no deer it is not entirely the dnrs fault would put more of the blame on so called hunters that shoot every thing they see does and fawns included

@aanschutz24 most hunters shoot fawn instead of the doe. with the doe dead many fawns die in the winter. at least where i live we have some harsh winters that will kill most fawns if they are without a doe.

@aanschutz24 Public land is NOT even CLOSE to equal to private land. Private lands are SO much better, However.. I agree with you, hunting for meat or not, fawns is just a bad outlook on us hunters.

A well place SHARP broadhead will do the job...that is the way a whitetail should be shot..deer was dead in under 10 seconds,good job
