I get up to the country every weekend.

Watching the bluejays, goldfinches and chickadees et al at the feeder (I really like the hummingbirds in the flowergarden.)

Sitting outside having a coffee, breathing the fresh air and talking about non-work related subjects.

We even have the odd deer come down and nose around.

Lets you know what our place in the harmony of the planet should really be.

Very peaceful, very important and very necessary to our sanity and well-being.

You know that you have been in the city too long when:

ranch is a salad dressing flavor;

hawk is something that street merchants do;

horse is a game played with a ball and net;

stump is something politicians do in an election campaign;

and lastly, spring water from a tap is something that comes in a plastic bottle and costs two bucks...
