Xperia Play Final Fantasy 7 PSXPERIA

I'm on android 2.3.4 with my xperia play...and I've tried using both v1 and v2 beta to create the gamefiles...but when I install them... the games don't load...I just get a black screen, and also the extraction doesn't work. I've found the supposed extracted files, so I guess that could be an issue, but...does anybody know what my issue could be?

@trustcocky I think FF8 also has sound issues during FMV's with PSXPERIA. I use FPSE to play FF8, I even posted a video of FF8 running on FPSE.

Boy that game took me a year to find everything on it and defeating all opponents. Bad for your social life, but a personal favorite since then no game surprises me that much!

@Noshkanok well... there is a learning curve, so it really depends on how badly you want to play PS1 games.

ok i got it to work i understand everything i just dont understand why FF9 FMVs cutscenes dont work cause FF7 does FF9 works and everything but no sound and i switched it to true =[ i get my roms from get your roms

for some reason my graphics would just be all glitchy how did u tweak the emulator native psxperia? i really wanna play FF7 and 9 on the native emulator but i cant seem to tweak it. please help.

I dont get it why the sound doesnt lag while the newer phones that have more memory and better processor it lag.

The sound is too good for this to be directly from the phone imo.

But I think ill buy it... I think. They are pretty cheap these days too. I want a phone that u can play emu games on such as FF games and it seems to handle it well. The controller pad is nice. Never liked playing games on touch screens so thats a plus.

@rirkla Well the thing is, Sony Xperia Play Comes with a PSX emulator, as such it was designed to run the emulator perfectly. Other phones, however, come with bloatware which slow down the phone. The phones that have dual core processors right now doesn't mean better performance, because Android 2.3 wasn't designed to support Dual Core Processors or make use with them. Same goes for the emulators.

Do you have to Root the phone in order to do this?

I'm getting my Xperia Play in tomorrow from Verizon and I'm psyched about the gaming function!

@tichassbitty I don't believe you need root, you just need to copy your crash apk from your system folders. ADB should be able to do that without root.

@copterstyle Are you using FPSE? This video is the game being played on PSXPERIA :) You can try checking SPU sync, it might help a little.

Mine is working now. I think my ucc file somehow got corrupted so software rendering was not set to true. So i set it to true then it worked.

Question, are you just playing disc one or did you figure out how to add multiple discs? I cannot figure it out for the life of me.

@lucaf72987 You make a new apk for each disc. The memory card can be transferred between them so that's how you can play multi-disc games.
