@oganpure Its actually on the main road up to Rudloe 2 Spring quarry. Infact on that road facing West you will have Basil Hill Barracks on your left and turn right and the roadway and building can be seen on your right. Its quite a flat looking building and the protected entranceways have liftshafts in them we were told.
Everyone says the UK ones are tiny compared to the US bases. We dig our out and the american use tunnel boring machines. Do the math. We have never taken the bunker thing seriously. Americans went mad on it.
@TheSecretVault I'd argue that the reverse is true. Look at the bunker list from subbrit compared to US bunkers, they built them larger (Raven Rock, Mount Weather etc.) but the UK had hundreds of them.
@TheSecretVault The underground facilities at Corsham are probably a lot bigger than many of the US bunkers. There is a lot of anecdotal information around on the internet about US facilities suggesting the facilities are not as big as Corsham. Makes sense, Corsham was dug out as mines rather than being specifically built as a bunker. The US realised that these facilities wouldn't survive nuclear strike and moved command and control to airborne platforms like NEACP/Nightwatch and Looking Glass.
Whereabouts is the facility shown from about 4.50? It states this is the CDCN bunker, but this is the only such footage I've ever seen.
