I would be more afraid of this dog than any of the actual breeds involved in the mix, or even a German Shepherd for that matter. Knowing the Rottweilers bite force and the combined looks from the husky, this is a dog you wouldn't want to test its suitability as a Guard Dog. I don't know why these dogs aren't a Purebred Dog yet or more popular as they have better show quality than a German Shepherd and look more intimidating.

Are you sure about the Husky-Rottweiler? Maybe it's a Lapinporokoira (Lapponian Herder).

@SchmiriBurnfinger - It definitely has the Rottweiler eyebrows and chest markings, husky ears and tail. Only thing that could further prove her husky 1/2 would be blue eyes.

there are 4 of these at my local shelter, and i have been looking for a dog for some time would you recommend getting one (they are 5 weeks old and will be ready for adoption in ~ 6 weeks?

Dude, you are suppose to train dogs like this.

They have the character of a wolf, and will do whatever they want.

So if you aren't going to learn him to listen, then no.

Take your dog to a dog school.

@LiuCubanito - It has the coat of a Rottweiler... that pretty much gives it away. I think the German Shepard similarity you see is in the colouring, which if you go by colouring Dobermans and a number of other dogs also look like German Shepherds. At that point you'll have to conduct a breed history to see which dog is older than the other to determine who is dubbed with rights to the original colouring.

I should post a video of my dog. She's seems to be a shade more on the rottweiler side, but she's a gorgeous dog, but mostly, she's just so loving and cute sometimes even though she's getting old. I love my doggy :P
