alto player myself, would have sounded better if you slurred in some places, the place where you fingers missed would have been fine with a slur. I know my copy simple gifts for alto has no tonguing in many parts so yeah, just a tip.
@saxmastergq Lol, i meant the song by Weezer: Greatest Man That Ever Lived (Variations of a Shaker Hymn) because it sounds similar to that shaker hymn Simple Gifts. Also, who do you play with? Just at home, or with a band or what?
and..well, I'm in my school's marching/pep band, jazz band, concert/symphonic band, and pit orchestra. I'm also in the local community band, and this jazz band called the "The Chop Suey All-Star Jazz Orchestra." I've also been in honor bands, select bands, and all-state bands.
@saxmastergq Whoa sick. I'm in my school's band, jazz band and choir, and i take music and jazz courses and such. I play the Tenor and Bari now for jazz class.
Legato tonguing on the saxophone involves lightly touching the very tip of the reed with the tip of the mid section of your tongue. Be sure to not touch the flat of the reed, but the edge where the mouthpiece and reed touch while in vibration. When done correctly, you achieve a very pleasant and mature legato attack.
Keep up the work! Simple Gifts is a spectacular melody
A bit too much tonguing, and a bit on the bright side (but that's probably just from the high notes). When you play, position your jaw like there is a golf ball between your upper and lower molars. This increases the volume of the mouth and gives a tone like Kenny G.
Tis the gift to be simple tis the gift to be free tis the gift to come down were we ought to be and when we find our selves in the place just right twill be in the valley of love and delight when true simplicity is gained to bow and to bend we shant be ashamed to turn turn will be our delight till turning, turning we come round right Awsome job love it you just helped me with my chorus song

Yes, I know what legato tonguing is. Thank you for your comment!

Not bad, tonguing is a little rough though, think more dAWh and less DAwh. Good sound though

Good tone. Try adding some dynamics and try not to tongue so much.
