I just dont get what you are trying to prove goin around bashing on all the holden gtos they are perfectly good cars they may not be assembled in the US but half of GM and Fords cars arent anymore anyway at least australia is better than mexico I have an 06 GTO for my daily driver and it gets 26mpg drivin my 30 miles to work and has a shit ton of power when i need it.

I dont know, it looks so "normal" to me, it looks like a Grand AM Mustang mix.

Pontiac had some kick ass concepts what would have set it way apart and kept with the idea that these cars should stand out on the street.

I have the 06 ive only had it about two months. Its fast and it has the six speed but i find myself wanting more lol. I might just sell it and go back to a mustang and put together a turbo kit but i havnt decided yet.

Tuff call, I think the new-er Mustangs look great, I would love to have Black Cobra, or have fun by finding a V6 and stab in Fords Aluminator, that would be a nice street sweeping sleeper!

I can tell you now that it's hard not to "want more" no matter what you get.

The LS engine in your Holden is able to make lots of HP, but like you know it was some "soft spots" & chucking a half shaft at 110 might be nasty, then again you have a trophy & bragging rights!

It's got Roush written on just about everything, I think it even had it on the gas cap cover!

Yes, this car is world class, it's like a "working mans vette" without the stuck up prick or trophy bimbo behind the wheel.

If you have studied the car it was even a hit way back as the Commodore (extra set of doors). I think the balanced the idea of ability dam good with the IRS.

Even tho it's master of none, (drags, curves) it's great at being good at both. I think most owners would have liked a better rear & half shafts.

Like I said both times "it's master of none" but good at both. By design IRS sucks at drags, if it didnt every "door slammer" would have IRS, as far as rally the car does well but its not as well as say a Vette but better then a F body.

This car is fugly, every single main stream mag that featured this car when it came out made remakes about it's "appearance" in a negative way! Mid 2nd model run it got fake hood scoops & other eye candy to off set the negative attention!

I would do the half shafts, it's cheap insurance, one less thing to be worried about. I do know that the rear Diff has been known to have issues under heavy power, the aftermarket does have a replacement diff tho I cant seem to find it.
